Development Update #3 (public)
🕑 Added 2022-10-30 17:15:55 +0000 UTCHello-hello from SRT! π
Good news. Everything's going pretty smoothly. We are this π€ close to releasing our first game build and are so excited to share it ASAP! Hopefully, you're too!
Currently doing some minor changes, final polishing, and preparing the build for testing!
Here's what we've done for the game recently:
Quest system
This system will allow us to make non-linear quests really fast, which will help provide frequent updates to the game!
Quests and events
We added almost all the quests and events planned for v0.1. And those are many!
Tentacle scene
The most complex scene we ever created and a non-linear dialogue for it is finished. The scene has ~50 animations! You can find the scene excerpt on our Twitter.
NPCs
Added all the NPCs that will be present in the prologue
Ambient SFX
Added some background sounds (forest, house, NPCs, sea, urban noises, etc...) Some interactions also have sounds.
Camera system
Our new advanced camera system will allow you to:
- Switch camera sides to the left, right or middle position (middle button press)
- Zoom-in (RMB)
Camera also has a dynamic field of view, which expands when you run.
Improved lighting and performance
To make the game more optimized we baked the lighting with physically correct interior shadows.
Also, we want to say sorry. The protagonist in this build will only be partially voiced. Under current circumstances, it is hard for our voice actress to properly record the lines.
Stay tuned!
