We called the ball game “Suicide,” and we didn’t play the one band or two hand version. That sounds like such a good addition to the game we played, and so fun so now I’m pissed that we never played it that way lol. If the ball got far enough without anyone catching it someone would go get it and we would yell “SUICIDE!” And they’d have to throw it from wherever they were at and hit the wall from there. If they didn’t hit the wall, they’d have to run and touch the wall before the ball or else they’d were out (or pelted with the ball, depending one which crowd you were playing with). Ahhh, the good ol’ days.
