Poppy & Oak SketchPage
🕑 Added 2025-07-16 00:39:58 +0000 UTCIt's been a little bit since I've drawn these two so I thought I'd just do a bit more doodling to remember how they fit together. ๐ณ
I feel like Poppy should have gotten more tattoos by now but I haven't been able to think of what they should be.
Eye contact is a magical thing, isn't it? I like the size differences of these two, Oak being voluptuous and Poppy being a petite lil thing.
Ultimately I think I'll split these drawings up into individual illustrations and give a bit more color work on the couples pieces. :) I want to try to embrace the original coloring style and limited palette of the original comic even though my art and line style has grown a lot since then. One of the things I've sacrificed over time is speed for detail.
I like the result of it visually but sometimes I still do miss being able to scribble out a comic in a couple weeks. I think I might try that again in the future as an experiment in between projects.
I'll leave you with a thought provoking question, is Poppy covered in seed or nut? :p
I'm sorry.
Happy Tuesday!
