When the desert guys attacked the city, the guys on the wall should have given them a terse French taunting!

This movie got savaged by the critics, but I actually enjoyed it. One of the problems it ran into was the Writers Strike of 1987 which delayed a lot of production. In retrospect, I think Shatner wanted to bring back the tone of the original series on television. It’s essentially a 90-minute tv movie minus commercials. The next movie is much better.

Lol!

"Taserface" seemed like such a silly name in Guardians of the Galaxy, but it describes God/Santa in this one pretty well with his taser eyes

Amalia Wolf

Yay!! Totally was and for that I am thankful! I actually still really enjoyed it!

Well, that was about how I remembered it. Definitely heavy on the queijo! Still, it was fun to see your reaction, Ames! You were in the right frame of mind for it! 😂

Amalia Wolf

LMAO RIGHT

I will watch it for sure! Would love to revisit TNG get the crew to pick the most important epi for me to re visit then the movies haven’t seen them! I love W Shatner he’s a great actor

Great watchalong. I know you’ve said you only have one more, but I really hope you watch Star Trek Generations, the 8th movie, even if you don’t get into the Next Generation show. It has original series characters, and Shatner in what I consider his best acting as Kirk. It would be a shame to miss it.

John

Fantastic reaction Ames! This one is definitely an interesting on. I enjoy it but I can also see why it would put people off. Also on a side note, how bad do you have to mess up to get assigned to Nimbus 3? lmao

Amalia Wolf

?? Lol

Amalia Wolf

Sorry! Had to re upload :) hehehe

Amalia Wolf

Amalia Wolf

Right! That’s what I tried to get out in my mumble outro lmao

I totally understand what you are saying about this film. For me the cheese level is beyond, but….the core idea…..I love Theology…..they could have handled it better, but I love the idea all the same.
