Sleepaway Camp (1983) watch along
🕑 Added 2024-10-28 18:00:11 +0000 UTCSo many 80's slashers I need to watch! This one was on a list I found I thought would be interesting. And it sure was. The real horror in this was the short shorts!
I had a lot of laughs and my dyslexia got me in the end. You'll know when you hear it lol.

I love this big dumb movie, but her remark at 27:55 made me laugh so hard, “What an interesting sequence of basketball we’re getting here”, when it’s baseball. Not bagging; just thought it was funny. She just misspoke.

It’s unfortunate that there were two ‘official’ sequels and she wasn’t in them. The less said about the other two Sleepaway Camps the better. But Felissa is getting the recognition she deserves as she still acts and was in Terrifier 2 and as you say she gets attention at the cons.

This was so much fun! I've seen a few YouTube videos for this but to see it all was great. I've heard that Felissa Rose (Angela) is a wonderful person and goes to Horror/Slasher conventions to talk about her character!

I'd never seen this one before but the ending had been spoiled for me. It wasn't the gore fest I was expecting but it does have a sort of awkward charm. Definitely falls into the so-bad-its-good category. If I may quote the great Philip J. Fry, "Pizza delivery for I. C. Weiner".

I would've never watched this slasher if it weren't for you, so thanks for that lol. Watched on Prime, Slumber Party Massacre started to play right afterwards, and I stopped it there because maybe what are the chances, just maybe...

Yes lots of those were on that list LOL

Brings back many memories. The Burning... Happy Birthday to me... The Funhouse... Terror Train... The 80's were a great time for cheap gory teenage horror flicks..

Cool!

So great to watch something funny cheesey and campy

It’s so cheesy and fun. Awful acting, bloody kills, and a great mystery. Hey, that can’t all be Citizen Kane lol. Love this film. Looking forward to watching.

Haven’t seen this since the 80’s, curious to see it now. I did like it back then bc it was entertaining and funny then, hopefully it still is

Wow looking forward to this. Coincidentally I have this being delivered today from the Scream Factory sale for Halloween. I've never seen it before. Sleepaway Camp 2 and 3 are getting blurays in December also.
