Live Rank-a-thon #2
🕑 Added 2025-01-16 19:55:07 +0000 UTCOur Second Rank-a-thon Event is happening this weekend! (The exact date and time will be determined through an upcoming poll.) If you’d like to join, please read the details below.
This live event will take place on Discord and hosted by me, Ames! Via YouTube live Link. We’ll reveal our top movies, in order, from the selected list of films I’ve watched on Patreon. After each round, we’ll have a brief discussion about one of the movies featured in that round. Then, we’ll tally points to determine the most popular movie here on Patreon. We had an amazing time in the first event with great conversations and the flow worked well.
Important note: This event is exclusive to Blockbuster Buddies, as you’ve already seen my reactions to these films. Please make sure to read all the rules below.
Here’s how you can participate
The rules:
1. Since this group has more films than last time, you can make a list of your TOP 12 films (up from top 10), plus 3 honourable mentions (which we will share after everyone's #1 pick has been revealed). We are judging primarily based on how you rate the films themselves, but if you also want to partly rank the films based on Ames' reactions, that's ok too. The point system for the final ranking has been slightly altered as follows:
Films ranked #1-4 on your ballot will be given 3 points each
Films ranked #5-8 will get 2 points
Films ranked #9-12 will get 1 point
2. You must have seen all the films on your list.
3. Make sure to list each film in a series in a separate slot. (So don't list "Alien & Aliens" or "Star Trek II - IV" as a single entry.)
This time we will go through the films of the late 70s until 1989. Here's the link to the Group 2 films, here's the link;
The list is also in the image above if you can't access the spreadsheet.
If you want to join the Live Discord conversation, prepare your movie list now and wait for the event to start.
If you can’t attend the event but still want your list to be revealed, DM your completed list to @AJ Shores on Discord. If you are unable to connect to Discord please DM me here on Patreon
