How to play Personal Space, Trolling For Trouble and Chain Mail

As we enter March, your packages will contain the parts for our ongoing game, The Final Lightyear. But the January and February packages contain a few other ongoing projects that are wrapping up. So lets talk about what they are and how you can actually play them.
Personal Space

Physical Game - more starter packages are shipping soon
In the January and February packages we included a moon and neighbor for Personal Space. This is a game like no other, where you play up to once per day at home (and online to a degree) and share your experiences with the community. We shipped the Haunted Moon and the Mall Moon, but you don't have a starter pack yet, so how do you play?
1) Starter packs are on their way here and will be going out to anyone who subscribed by Jan 31st 2021. Many received the first round of starter packs but we ran out of unique characters and some of the other parts. So, if you are eligible, you will be receiving one. It's not too far off hopefully.
2) The PNP files are all available here: https://www.dropbox.com/sh/f59c1gygb64ig0v/AABIqe32jBSyNSw0V3Irharga?dl=0. You could use those and start today, just switching over once your physical package arrives. There's a good chunk game extras that are PNP, so this isn't too bad of an option either way. Just wait for your custom character and some of the other goodies for the full effect.
Like I said, Personal Space is like no other. It has its own discord server where much of the game takes place (recording your info, interacting with others, joining in contests, visiting the in game store, etc...). Trolling For Trouble

There should be a card for Trolling For Trouble. We sent out the Copper Robot and the Changeling. Both of these are additional cards for the game. But where is the game? It's in that same Personal Space 2020 starter package mentioned above. It's going out ASAP and includes the 6 card base set and every other card you get is able to be mixed in for bigger more varied games.
Chain Mail

Physical Game - returning as Chain Mail 2.0

The physical versions of Chain Mail have been unavailable since Dec 2019, but we're still tossing out cards here and there. It's a very easy PNP since there is no shuffling or anything like that. You just choose a few cards, lay them on the table and play. But if you are interested in a physical version, it'll be coming out as 2.0 sometime in the hopefully near future.
I hope that clears things up. If you are just starting now you are coming in at the end of a few games, but just before we had the starter packages available. Sorry if it's confusing, everything should be clearer once those arrive and start shipping out.

My first subscriber payment came out in December and this (Feb) is the first package I've received (at all). Should I be worried? Are the Dec and Jan packages on the way? Were they skipped? Is the Personal Space starter pack on the way? I'm confused.

@Hana Personal Space continues in March. It just doesn’t get new monthly physical content. We should have more packages but we just need to get everything in for them first.

I am also wondering whether the games will continue in march? If we are getting new starter packs that don’t contain the personal space starter pack are the old games not being continued

Our Post Office is not scanning packages reliably on receipt so it is likely that this is in transit. Deliveries are taking longer than we would usually expect; hope it reaches you soon.

Ahh, I see, that makes sense. My payment came out on March 1st so I definitely missed out on Personal Space. Just let me know what I need to do to get a Personal Space Starter Kit once you know if you have extras! :) Thanks again.

It sounds like you will be getting just the Lightyear one but we should have more Personal Space ones made available. As for clarification, it’s based on payments. If your first payment came out on March 1, then your first package is March, which is the start of Lightyear.

Hello, I subscribed during the "reprint" Kickstarter (this was in February) and was under the impression that I would get a starter pack for Personal Space. But this post makes it sound like anyone who subscribed after jan 31st won't be getting a Personal Space starter pack. Specially, you state "Our 2020 $5 packages include an episode of Personal Space" and then say "Then, we are starting up a new year long game in March. It's called The Final Lightyear." I hope you can see how this wording makes it sound like if you sign up in February you would get Personal Space before getting The Final Lightyear in march, Would you mind clarifying? I only found out about everything you offer during that kickstarter and signed up to be able to take part in Personal Space AND The Final Light Year. I would happily PayPal you extra if I have missed out on the Personal Space starter pack. Thank you for all you do.

The rulebook is exclusively online as the game evolves and keeps adding new things, but we're due to make a printable "basics" book now that we're almost a year in and those basics have been defined.

Yes, 2.0 is exactly that, a big redo of the rules and some cleanup work as well. If you want to dive in before that, there's a great group of people at the Button Shy discord that will guide you through anything.

I have to admit it took me a while to understand how to play Chain Mail. The manual didn't give me a good mental picture of combat, and that youtube video on the website confused me even more. Would it be possible to get a redo for 2.0?
