Friday Art Preview - 7/21/23
🕑 Added 2023-07-21 12:45:53 +0000 UTCHi everyone, this week I wanted so share some artwork for Apropos: Of Board Games. This is a game that is coming to members soon, so I thought it would be a nice time to visit it. Let's check it out!
Apropos: Of Board Games has a silly and charming feel. All of the images come from a larger illustration that depicts a board game convention. You'll find vendors, demo tables, large displays, cosplayers and even a big castle! There are a ton of people to be found and it is really fun just to look at the illustrations and find all the little details.
The artist, Adi "HW" Sukondo, really did a fantastic job on this illustration. We were especially happy with the artist's choice of colors. They're bright enough to pop and ended up printing really well! When it comes to print, color and contrast are really important. So we are always sure to let the artist know that it will be going to print and to be conscious of that while coloring.
This is what the finished card will look like. We muted the background and kept the subject highlighted. This lets the subject pop from the background and your eye goes right to it!
