You shake your head, stuffing the silver piece back into your pocket. The stallion snorts and rescinds his hand.
"Yer loss," he says as he stuffs the ticket back into his possession.
You slowly back up away from the stallion as he picks at the pile. The smoke at this point is starting to get to you, your head spins and the smell of his musk hits you like a truck. Was he always this massive..?
You peek outside, unsure of whether or not it would be a wise idea. You look down at your pocketwatch, watching the minute hand change as you spin it in your palm. Maybe it's a compass that points North? Perhaps it'll lead you somewhere else. You remember the fortune teller and her first fortune: "Follow the time for it leads you straight, but beware what shines, what a terrible fate."
"You better's get going if you're trying to leave. The longer you stay, the tougher it's gon get to leave," he says as he sits back down, returning to his pipe.
