You decide against your feral instincts and walk over to help him up. You pick up his glasses and hold out a hand which he holds. You pick him off the ground and he nervously pulls his t-shirt down past his crotch. He looks over at you and notices the lack thereof. He looks up at you, his face equally flushed. Neither of you say anything; perhaps it would be better this way.
You both walk through the silent graveyard, shivering. You eventually return to the gravestone of the ghost who materializes before you. You remembered that you braved that lonely tower to help this poor soul but now that you have returned, you aren't even sure you got what you were looking for. You dig into your pockets and pull out the pearl necklace and trinket. You hold each both up and watch as the ghost shakes his head. You look at the bunny who digs into his shirt and pulls out a letter.
"I-I f-found this in one of the books b-b-but I don't remember which one."
He hands it over to you and you open it to read.
'Dearest Arthur,
Each day passing day doth my heart ache for you. I wish I were able to be standing fighting alongside you, yet they have confined me to this God Forsaken tower. I wish to let you know that our daughter Elizabeth is well. She has reached her sixth year and her affinity for magic has grown so much. She bears thine lovely eyes and each day I watch them, I see thee reflected. It pains me to write that Elizabeth and I will soon depart for Antres. I have bid the stable boy to deliver you this letter upon thy return. Find us, we will be waiting. Return home safe and sound, my love.
- Yours eternally... (the name is smudged).
The ghost kneels down before you, his hands covering his face. He seems to be weeping. You place the letter on the gravestone as he slowly drifts back up. From his feet up, he slowly starts to fade away. You watch as his soul glows and he seems to be smiling at you. In just a moment, you both find yourselves standing alone except.. A grin appears before you. He doesn't say anything; he simply points down.
You both look at on top the gravestone is a ring. You are quite sure it wasn't there before. It glimmers gently in the moonlight and as you pick it up, he shines a brilliant ruby. You feel something deep within, some sort of powerful magic. You place it upon your index finger and it fits perfectly, as if its size is adjusted just for you.
You look around, the atmosphere of the graveyard setting in once more. You are unsure which way to proceed.
> Head into the mausoleum.
> Continue into the fog.
