Dexter is becoming more and more human and I love it. Him realizing how he actually love being surrounded by love is beautiful.

Oh, I know what he is. He's also much more self-aware than the average sociopath / psychopath. He has always shown that he knows exactly how others would react to the truth. But I also think that being so self aware is what keeps him more steps ahead than other serial killers. But, when it comes down to it... he's a bit of a narcissist... his needs will always come first.

Yes it’s Selfish but you also need to understand that he is a serial killer with a mental illness and he just doesn’t have the emotional intelligence to process how someone else may view him

Michael C. Hall makes Dexter so likable, so rootable... that it's easy to see merit in all his doings. Here he says... that he realizes that he would rather risk Rita & the kids finding out the truth about him, than lose them. Yet if they found out, he would lose them. More than that, it would ruin them. So pretty selfish really. But this is where Dexter's main character pov makes it easy to ignore all of that and just enjoy.

Michael C. Hall as Dexter is just phenomenal.. there’s been a lot of great characters in tv.. Walter white for example but him as Dexter is just magic

One of my absolutely favorite episodes of Dexter in the whole series. For Dexter to realize that he loves Rita and the kids was a momentous moment. Such great acting. Amazing!! And the cliffhanger?!! Totally awesome!

I love dexters facial expressions when he realizes he doesn’t want his family to die it’s really wholesome plus the anger on his face when he saw the mug destroyed. THAT CLIFFHANGER!!
