Chapter 109: Galactic Patrol
🕑 Added 2024-05-29 14:27:34 +0000 UTC"In the galaxy, there's an organization that maintains order and balance—the Galactic Patrol. Although the Galactic Patrol can't rival the Frieza Force, it does stabilize certain regions of the galaxy."
Xavier flashed a bright smile and continued, "Some Saiyans feel lost without battles, right? Why not take missions from the Galactic Patrol headquarters and have our warriors execute them? This would not only satisfy the Saiyans' love for combat but also help cleanse them of their sins."
This was similar to when they carried out missions for Frieza, except instead of destroying planets, they would be protecting them.
In the Dragon Ball world, mortal death doesn't mean the end. Souls continue to face King Yemma's judgment in the afterlife, with the righteous going to Heaven and the wicked to Hell. Only those with significant merits might retain their bodies after death; otherwise, even powerful beings like Frieza or Cell couldn't escape Yemma's judgment. Perhaps reaching the level of a "god" would transcend these rules, but Xavier knew he would have to follow them for a long time.
This forced him to consider the Saiyans' position.
Xavier's goal was to develop the Saiyans of Red Mountain Planet into a respected race, similar to the Saiyans of Universe 6.
Adriel's eyes suddenly lit up at Xavier's idea, but then he frowned, "But will the Galactic Patrol allow Saiyans to take on missions? Our relationship with them isn't great!"
"How will we know if we don't try?" Xavier laughed heartily. With the Saiyans' strength maintaining peace in the universe, he couldn't imagine the Galactic Patrol refusing.
"Well, Xavier, you'll have to make a trip to the Galactic Patrol headquarters then."
Among everyone, only Xavier could use Instant Transmission, so the task naturally fell to him. As the leader of the Saiyans, he was the only one who could represent the entire race.
"No problem!"
"Oh, we've been chatting so much that I've gotten a bit hungry. Who's going to prepare lunch?" Rebecca stood up and checked the time. They had been talking for several hours without realizing it.
Pregnant as she was, Rebecca couldn't cook anymore. Xavier and Adriel exchanged glances and cheerfully headed to the kitchen.
The next day.
The sky was dim, with a sliver of dawn just peeking over the mountaintops, and a thin mist hung in the air.
After making his preparations, Xavier located the Galactic Patrol headquarters and used Instant Transmission to head over.
The Galactic Patrol headquarters was located in the central area of the galaxy. Since it was under the direct jurisdiction of the Grand Kai, most forces dared not interfere here.
Since the Galactic Patrol headquarters is elusive, Xavier could only pinpoint its general location. In a flash, Xavier appeared in space near his target. The vacuum environment immediately subjected his body to immense pressure.
Whoosh! A robust aura instantly enveloped his body. However, since Saiyans can't survive in a vacuum, this state would only last a few minutes.
Raising his head and looking around, Xavier saw bright, shimmering stars hanging against the dark night sky, twinkling brilliantly.
"There it is!" Xavier's eyes lit up as he spotted a massive structure ahead and accelerated towards it.
Whoosh! A streak of light flashed across the sky, and in an instant, he reached the Galactic Patrol headquarters.
It was a gigantic spherical structure with a ring-like space corridor around it, connected by four massive pipes, each a hundred meters in diameter. The spherical core hung slightly lower, resembling a colossal spinning top suspended in space.
"Who goes there?"
Several aliens of various appearances spotted Xavier's sudden appearance at the headquarters. They raised their energy cannons, aiming them at Xavier. These were the soldiers guarding the Galactic Patrol headquarters, and the red cannons in their hands glowed brightly.
Seeing the newcomer's face, an alien in a patrol uniform asked in confusion, "A human? Isn't that a race from a remote planet? How did he get to the Galactic Patrol headquarters?"
"Be careful, the scanner just detected this person's power level at 12,000!" a nearby companion whispered.
Xavier's actual power level was 240,000. Despite his current control over his energy, a significant amount still leaked out. Only by reaching a higher level of understanding could he achieve perfect control. He chose to expose a power level of 12,000 to add leverage to his negotiations. After all, strength was the foundation of any negotiation!
"How is that possible? Is your scanner broken? How can a human have such a high power level? Maybe he's not human?" the patrol member asked in disbelief.
Ordinary members like them only had power levels in the thousands. How could a mere human surpass them?
Seeing the Galactic Patrol members mistaking him for a human, Xavier couldn't blame them. Saiyans and humans looked remarkably alike. In fact, Saiyans could be considered a "species" of humans!
Except for the tail, Saiyans and humans were virtually identical. Even Vegeta didn't recognize the Saiyans from Universe 6 at first glance.
"That's right, I'm not human. I'm a Saiyan!"
"A Saiyan!!"
Several urgent screams echoed as the Galactic Patrol members suddenly went on full alert. The Saiyans had a notorious reputation in the galaxy. The alarms blared, and from the headquarters' corridors, a swarm of people emerged, all pointing their energy cannons at Xavier.
The Galactic Patrol maintained peace in the galaxy with the backing of the Grand Kai and countless hired strong fighters. The patrol headquarters didn't have much defensive capability, so facing a Saiyan who could attack at any moment, the Galactic Patrol exhibited unprecedented vigilance.
"Ha ha, don't be so tense. I don't have time to waste with you. I'll go directly to see the Galactic King."
With that, Xavier smiled, waved at them, and vanished into thin air, turning into a blur before disappearing. His actions left the patrol members stunned, and soon the sharp, urgent alarms blared, plunging the Galactic Patrol headquarters into chaos.
"Hurry, notify the Galactic King! A Saiyan is attacking the headquarters!"
"Wait, weren't the Saiyans destroyed?" one patrol member asked in confusion.
"There must be survivors. Those evil Saiyans wouldn't be wiped out so easily."
The leading patrol member's face was anxious because, according to their scanners, the Saiyan's power level was at least over 10,000, and there were no experts in the headquarters who could handle him.
"Hurry up and issue a mission. Summon the nearby strong fighters for rescue, and hope they can make it in time." If the Galactic Patrol headquarters were breached, it would be a significant blow to the organization's reputation.
In the center of the spinning-top-shaped building, a room divided into hexagonal compartments like a beehive, the Galactic King, a jellyfish-like creature with multiple tentacles, was reprimanding a young patrol member.
"Jaco, you failed to complete such an important mission. How are you going to explain this?" The Galactic King waved his tentacles, a large crown perched on his massive head.
Jaco, with his purple skin and golden eyes, retorted, "Galactic King, I searched Earth for a long time but didn't find the Saiyan child you mentioned. I don't think he poses a threat to Earth; otherwise, I would have found him by now."
Jaco continued to complain, "And the spaceship you provided was in terrible condition. If it weren't for my friends on Earth who helped repair it, I wouldn't have even made it back!"
The Galactic King coughed twice and said, "Ahem, since you didn't find the Saiyan, let's forget about it. By the way, before you went to Earth, didn't you say humans were vile and planned to eliminate them all? What changed your mind?"
"Yes, after observing them, I found that Earthlings do have value worth protecting, so I suggest bringing Earth under the protection of the Galactic Patrol." Thinking of the friends he made on Earth, Jaco proposed.
This was a complete 180-degree turn from his original plan!
