Chapter 92: Special Forces Training
🕑 Added 2024-05-25 12:07:12 +0000 UTCIn the blink of an eye, a month had passed.
After the initial selection and grouping, the training for the special forces officially commenced. Thanks to the careful selection process, many complications in the subsequent training were avoided.
These meticulously chosen children displayed exceptional comprehension, akin to smooth, blank sheets of paper on which Xavier could freely create. The training quickly fell into a rhythm.
On the training ground, the young children were sweating profusely, repeatedly practicing basic moves—kicking, punching, ducking, and cushioning. To become stronger, a solid foundation is crucial.
These seemingly monotonous and even torturous exercises, in a sense, also tempered the children's minds, making it easy to identify the truly dedicated ones for focused cultivation.
However, Xavier noticed that these children were all remarkably disciplined, diligently following his instructions without the slightest slack. The idea of selecting the best among the best naturally had to be abandoned.
From the children’s perspective, it was easy to understand because they knew how rare the opportunity to join the special forces was. Many had fought fiercely for this chance. Having obtained it, they were even more determined to train hard and not disappoint Lord Xavier’s efforts.
"Feel it with your heart, don’t think about how to do it. Let each movement become an instinct of your body!"
"In battle, there’s not much time for you to think. Even a small flaw can cost you your life. Think about it, sweat more now so you can bleed less later!"
Xavier patrolled the training ground with a teaching stick, instilling the concepts he had learned from Earth into the minds of these Saiyans, as these were the foundations before training their "ki."
Of course, Xavier couldn’t just copy everything. He adapted many key points based on the Saiyans’ physique and combat habits.
He was exceptionally strict with these Saiyans, as they would represent the core strength of Red Mountain Planet in the future. Naturally, no leniency could be afforded in their training. Whenever he saw an imperfect move, his merciless teaching stick would strike down.
"Smack!"
The stick struck a Saiyan whose move was not up to standard.
"You, don’t use all your strength when punching. Use seventy percent and reserve thirty, so you have room to maneuver."
"And you, there are too many unnecessary movements when you attack. This reduces the force of your strike and makes it easier for the opponent to find flaws. Here, and here, these are all weak points, easy for the opponent to exploit!"
Xavier pointed out their mistakes one by one, and the Saiyans listened attentively, not daring to slack off.
Saiyans matured early, so these children knew how fortunate they were to receive guidance from Lord Xavier. They trained diligently, fearing that any carelessness would cause them to fall behind.
Once the special forces training was on track, Xavier only occasionally provided guidance, dedicating the rest of his time to his own training.
Training is a continuous endeavor, and Xavier couldn't afford to be like Gohan, who neglected his training for trivial matters despite possessing immense power, thus squandering his potential.
Of course, everyone has their own path, and it can't be said that Gohan's pursuit of literature was wrong. It was just that his divergence from martial arts wasted his talent, which was a great pity!
In the central area stood a large villa, Xavier’s residence. After becoming the leader of Red Mountain Planet, he could no longer stay at Adriel’s house, as the hierarchy demanded such distinctions.
Even if Xavier didn’t care, the opinions of all the Saiyans couldn’t be ignored. Therefore, a new villa was specially constructed for him.
Once the villa was completed, with Adriel’s tacit approval, Celine happily moved in with Xavier for the sake of her training. Merus, whose parents had died in the battle on Planet Vegeta, moved in with Adriel.
At noon, after a period of training, Xavier wiped his sweat and went to the bathroom for a refreshing cold shower before heading to the hall for lunch.
In the kitchen, Celine was frantically handling the food. Hearing the constant crackling sounds from inside, Xavier raised an eyebrow and rubbed his forehead, as if he could already foresee the disastrous scene to come.
Soon after, Celine emerged with a plate of charred food.
“Celine, is this the food you made?” Xavier asked helplessly, poking at the unknown charred substance in the plate.
“Yes, that’s right!”
“Can you tell me what it is?”
“Roasted meat!” Celine said, her eyes sparkling.
“You’re saying this is roasted meat?” Xavier asked, exasperated. He tapped the blackened solid with his chopsticks, producing a metallic clinking sound. “Does roasted meat usually sound like this? Someone might think you made charcoal! How did you even make such a thing?”
“I don’t know; it just turned out this way,” Celine said innocently.
“Forget it. We’ll eat at Uncle Adriel’s house later. Celine, you really should learn how to cook. Remember when I made roasted meat for you as a kid? It didn’t look like this!”
Celine smiled sheepishly, twiddling her fingers. “Then maybe Xavier can cook from now on!”
Xavier stared at her, then playfully knocked her on the head. "Dream on!"
"Come on, let's go eat at Uncle Adriel's place." With that, Xavier headed out the door first.
Since the villas were close together, Adriel’s home was just a few dozen meters away. In no time, Xavier arrived at Adriel’s villa, walking in without knocking.
“Xavier, you’re here! The food is ready, come and eat!” Rebecca greeted him with a smile.
Merus was already at the table, grabbing food with both hands and chewing continuously. “I knew you’d come over for dinner. There’s no way that guy could cook well!”
“Who says I can’t cook?” Celine's angry voice came from behind as she stormed in.
“Hehe, if you could cook, you wouldn’t need to come here for meals!”
“This is my home, coming here for meals is only natural!”
Celine plopped down at the table, glaring at the little rascal in front of her. How annoying that Merus was living in her house now.
“Haha, you two, stop arguing the moment you see each other. Merus is my goddaughter now, so you’re sisters. Don’t act like enemies.” Adriel laughed heartily as he looked at the two children.
“She’s not my sister!”
“I don’t have a sister like her!”
Celine and Merus stared each other down, neither willing to back down.
“Aunt Rebecca, I think you should take some time to teach Celine how to cook.” Xavier said seriously as he sat down and prepared his utensils.
Rebecca nodded thoughtfully. “Yes, it was my oversight before. From now on, Celine will learn cooking from me.” She turned to Celine, “And other household chores as well. You’ll have to pause your training for a while to learn these things.”
“What?” Celine exclaimed, as if she had heard the most unfortunate news. But seeing Rebecca’s stern gaze, she reluctantly slumped down, while Merus giggled at the side.
Two months later.
Shakda, Merus, and the other special forces members finally completed their basic training and were ready to start learning about “Ki.” Xavier had put significant effort into the fundamentals, altering some of their conventional beliefs. The results began to show after several months.
However, when they were introduced to the theory of Ki, the Saiyans were completely baffled.
This was entirely different from what their parents had taught them!
But Xavier’s authority outweighed that of their parents, so they obediently followed his instructions. The young Saiyans were much quicker to adapt than the adults, gradually getting the hang of it.
Another three months passed, and these Saiyans could finally use Ki to sense their opponents. Xavier knew his goal had been achieved and decided it was time to let them train on their own.
