More than happy to kick the tyres.

Shaun McDonogh

Joining here was a no brainer. Thank you for the thorough and well researched (not to mention excellently communicated) content. I run the Crypto Wizards and Code Raiders YT channel and am looking for inspiration on what to build next with AI. Your content always gives me more ideas. There are so many opportunities, it feels like as a developer you just have to pick one and run with it. Regardless, am keen to find where indie developers can make more of an impact in this space with niche tooling that the giants just wouldn't bother with.

Philip

Done! Will think of a $50 tier soon too

Håvard Rekdal

Hi just wanted to jump in and second the suggestion of adding additional tiers! Your work is incredible so don't underestimate people's willingness to support it! My suggestion would be something along the lines of: Backer: 5$ Super Backer: 10$ Enthusiast: 50$ Super Enthusiast: $100 Legendary: 1000$ I've seen some mindblowing donations on patreon, so if (when) your work reaches the right people you'll want to have the right framework in place so you get the support you deserve!

Mik Quinlan

You are my go to channel too and the knowledge has helped me and my clients.

Ilya T

Thank you for all your efforts! An invaluable service!

Philip

Thanks so much Alex. I think people have managed to customise an amount! But yeah, maybe I should have a new tier, or two, any ideas for them do let me know.

Alexander Moen

You should have a higher membership tier, either allow us to select a custom amount or create a tier that is more than $5 per month. I came on hoping to donate $25 per month, but cannot. And, the fact that you're turning down such huge offers and maintaining your integrity and still get relatively little from us is super commendable and I'd like to support further. You're my go-to AI channel that helps me connect dots and stay up to date with minimal time commitment.

Matthew McGrew

Had to say thank you. Your content is top notch.

Clayton Kennedy

Values and trust are such an important thing. It is inspiring and heartening to read your news. Thank you!

Di Gr

please post some of your videos here on Patreon

Lucas Cooper-Bey

Hey man, I love your work. Thank you. I came over here to your Patreon to try and reach you. I found this insane discord channel and I want you to experience it and I would love to have it inform your smart gpt and just blow your mind as to the extent of tree of thought prompting that's actually going on. This guy stunspot is incredible at what he does. Please check him/them out and let me know what you think. Here is an invite https://discord.gg/GKqxdg2dcw. And here is his exact channel that has all the most epic prompts: https://discord.com/channels/ 1100933695986208849/11009350546596864 50

wow... really amazing to hear that you refused sponsorship deals like that, shows your integrity and honour! Respect!

MS

could you share the replit of the code for your latest video - it would be awesome to see how you built it

Brian Gallagher

Also have you considering offering early access to YouTube posts to incentivise becoming Patroen members? Similar to what Two Minute Papers does e.g make them private for the first 12 hours. It's a nice way to provide member benefits without gatekeeping any content.

Robert Miles mentioned that some view ChatGPT as unsophisticated given its child-like responses in certain situations. However, he explained that the AI is simply trying to generate the most appropriate responses based on its inputs. For example, if you talk to it like an internet troll, it might respond as if it's being provoked because the AI doesn't have the ability to choose not to respond and can only learn from those that are baited into responding. You proposed that 'Smart-GPT' prompts could put the model into an 'expert mode'. Have you experimented with carrying on conversations after these initial prompts, asking some of the tricky MMLU questions without new prompts? How does the model perform in those situations?

Sebastian Betzin

I just joined your Patreon because your content is more than worth it! Love your good work... keep on! btw. If you want to test on a gpt-4 api, please contact me.

Good call re sponsorship. There’s another highly respected AI commentator whose rep just took a big hit in our book when we evaluated one of their sponsor’s products and found it to be lacking to the extent that its implicit endorsement slowed us down significantly. Endorsing even a product you believe in is still a double-edged sword. You’re inherently tying your brand to one over which you have no control at the same time is diluting your brand equity. “Accenture and Tiger Woods advertising campaign” is a case in point.

Been following your channel for a bit and hopped on your Patreon today after seeing the vid for this. Your system is basically layer 1 to a broader architecture that's being built by the Open Swarm Net project (https://github.com/Open-Swarm-Net). The focus is on networks of hierarchies of agents which leverage the properties you've been outlining, as well as some other insights which haven't hit papers yet. Part of this is an open standard for agent communications, OSNAP. Would be great to have you on the Discord to discuss further: https://discord.gg/DubNBeMj

I was wondering if you would be interested in using my GPT 4 API key to to do tests for SmartGPT? I’m highly engaged in AI and ChatGPT, so I want to help support you. I also was wondering if you could help me alongside that to imporve my prompting for my use cases involving business and real estate, as I’m developing something really great myself! I just got my API key and if can figure out aeffective way to give it to someone who can maximize its use I would be really happy because it would help as research for my own business as well. So thay you know I’m not a crazy person, I can give my contact info! I just believe in working with intelligent people! Let me know as soon as you can, thanks!

I might not be able to share my personal account GPT4 API key, but would love to help test your code/projects

JoshTheTechnoShaman

Please consider a $10 tier; as a NetEng who has been paying close attention to AI's growth since Tesla started investing heavily in autopilot, things are taking off. People like you are demonstrating how new skills are needed very different from those we've been accustomed to, and it's exciting. I have seen all your vids and am glad to be a new patron!

TMacD

Great job on the vid...appreciate all the effort.

Almir Kazazic

I just received the key for 4.0 this week and would be happy to give access. Also I am experienced SW developer with 20years of experience and would love to support your efforts and I have several months of experience with chat GPT :). you can reach me at kazazic@gmail.com

Pavol Kumorovitz

I've cleared the API waitlist couple of weeks ago, but I don't have any dev experience. If you think that I can help somehow, please let me know 🙂 Regards, Big Tuna

Prime Devation

We would be happy to let you use our API key if you need access. We have both OpenAI Beta Program access and Azure OpenAI access with GPT4 8k and 32k models. You can reach me at lan@primedeviation.com or lan@neurograph.ai

Kelvin Parker

It's a crime against humanity that you don't have a GPT-4 API key !!!!

Leonid Go

I am a full stack developer and also I have GPT4 API 8k access. Let me know how I can help in DM (@sntxerror in all social apps)

Stanley Sisson

Hey Phillip! I have some experience with repl (a little less with replit), and just got community access to GPT4-8k chat api in sandbox (which appears to only have access to the Chat mode of sandbox for GPT4: I think researcher access are the only ones with completion api). How can I help?

Hanno Offen

Awesome! I am looking forward to the next video and SmartGPT. Thanks for not promoting some shitty product that pays really well. If you find something to promote that you really like it's OK to advertise it imo.

Tasty3141

Back in the day it used to be considered 'selling out' to just start shilling random products for cash to the people that supported you. Nowadays though it's more shocking when somebody DOESN'T just take the first offer they're given. The pressure on creators to take sponsorships must be insane. Often returning 100x on raising money through patreon or only promoting products that you actually use or like. The irony ist hat the products you are approached for will usually be the WORST producst most likely to deceive and SCAM your listeners. That's for the simple reason that companies that behave ethically usually dont' have the kind of margins for advertising that the usual suspects who sponsor everyything on Youtube will have. Also people with ethical good products usually care about their retpuation so don't just reach out to everybody on earth to promote their stuff. Anyway that is to say THANK YOU for actually having a compass and some integrity. I wouldn't blame you for taking sponsorships but I hold you to much higher esteem to hear you've actually turned some down <3

Kelvin Parker

Now THAT'S EXCITING ... given your deep understanding of how these AI models are working. Beyond excited to see what you have created!! Thanks Philip!!

Jon Kurishita

Thank you for the update. SmartGPT looks very interesting. I am sure you already know about AI startup Hugging Face and ServiceNow Research have released StarCoder, a free alternative to code-generating AI systems along the lines of GitHub’s Copilot. Exciting times !!!
