Illustration WIP!! More to cum!
🕑 Added 2024-10-15 08:59:56 +0000 UTCIt's prolly not all that clear but this is a sort of nature fairy scene. The bottom character is a stoat and his "wings" are the male flowering parts of a silver birch tree. I thought it'd be really cool to have fairy 'wings' not always be capable of flight within this sort of fantastical world to kind of "spruce" the character designs up a bit. Anyways he's hunting his pent up prey (a red squirrel with English Oak leaves for wings). The second picture was my initial sketch until I realized some issues with the perspective ^^;
I've kinda always been obsessed with fairies, especially when its in regards to folklore and plant symbolism. I hope to produce at least 3 others within the same theme (1 for each season). I will probably create a few polls on patreon and my (telegram art channel) for yall to decide on which sketches/illustration/ideas you like best! So keep a look out for that!
I intend to sell them as sort of cutesy post card prints (please do not mail them as post cards) in the near future.
