It's been fixed, yes. Previously it required giving the downloaded file an extension or manually opening it with 7-Zip.

There are so many new changes, to the endings, and Dr K’s relationship, whether Colin carries the virus or not, the demo file may not work and you would likely start over.

Fun fact dieseldragons, OMORI was to allow letting us play as Sunny of either gender and this would also have Aubrey be the opposite of our protagonist's. The amount of time and artworks/plus animations to make that idea lead to it being axed, though Female Omori's sprites wound up repurposed for a Mystery Potion item. BUT the genderbend aspect will absolutely and can not be child-friendly if you ask me.

There's Variable 303, which is called "女性K博士" ("Female Dr. K" in Chinese). It's indeed a 1 outta 1000 chances of K being female because it ranges from 0 to 999; a value at at least 999 genderbends K. That’s an excellent suggestion. If the canon reason for K appearing as female was because the latex mutagen gender-bendered him, the same must apply to Colin in the ending. (Puro wouldn’t care, he loves the human, for being themselves, no matter what they change into)

…Then DragonSnow, you might also have to make Colin capable of genderswapping in the ending where you neither leave nor stay. It's much more likely to be a universe/timeline where Doc K isn't male (think Undertale and OMORI; the latter uses "WTF" values), but then there may as well be ones where both she and Colin are girls and another where only Colin's female, right? We'll let the modders deal with setting up Female Colin's sprites and artworks in that case… and the game randomly making our protagonist's a girl or not. (I highly doubt Female Colin could be mistaken for a child.)

Dr. K's gender is determined at the moment you start a new game, and the probability is only 1/1000. You can think that something went wrong with his potion and turned him into her

I think it’s 50/50 right now, but 1/1000 is a little extreme, that would require many resets, hope the game auto saves once captured.

You could save edit, or you could edit the game to rather than deciding K's gender after starting the game on a 1 outta 999 chances... it instead does so on the map where K's event tile is and have her appear if the respective switch or variable returns 1.

Past versions had 1.02, this one is on 1.03... Very curious. I might wonder what differences there are between these two.

I can't recall, but I know it's at 1088x832. Scripting certain maps with position trackers to only activate at certain times would contribute to eliminating *some* slowdowns, wouldn't it?

I wonder about that female Gargoyle. You can escape her pretty easily. Seeing her getting revenge somehow, after triggering her would be fun!

I agree. Some pushy people on Steam really bug me, because they are demanding Snow finish this game in 1 year. I don't care if Special takes 2-3 years, I want a polished deluxe adventure, not a rushed expansion pack.

Nice! I think the only work you need is to add a transfur for the sand fox, allow the male gargoyle to move too, and draw the bacteriophage and eel transfurs

By the way, how should we solve these slowdowns in Changed Special's maps? We have the greenhouse, the exterior leading up to Doctor K's room, and the one with the two latex pools slowly filling up.

The version looks better then before, and there is more to interact with, then the previous version. Say, now that I think about it, will you change the look of the other areas, as much as you have done with the balcony? I played a few of the mini-games at the end of this version, and really liked them. I really cannot wait to see the end result, it seems promising so far.

Decent work thus far DragonSnow, and we've got Female Doctor K now too, to share with the planet so she gets at least as much artwork as her male variant does! Please take care of your health, though. The people behind Hello Neighbor (who for all we know did struggle), and the folks who gave us FNAF: Security Breach (and in turn DLCs for Hello Neighbor 2) could not deliver on good products, and it's not certain how the idividuals are doing… but I know you and them deserve lots of breaks in order to work optimally.

When you download it, rename the file and add .ZIP as a file extension. I did, and it worked.

Nice preview! The insect TF in particular seems really interesting, although I have to admit it's definitely pretty strange. Just one thing I was thinking about: Will there be a save point in the future placed in or near the room with the minigames for quicker access later on?

If the english version downloads to your PC as "1", change the name of the file to "Changed_special_230630EN.zip" and then unpack it like normal and it will work
