I enjoyed it too! I just hope Puro will realize you enjoy him for more stuff than just saying thanks, since forgetting to say it once but still doing it seemed to be a bit weird (He has to realize you like him by the time the choice is made, really)

Perhaps this time around you can say thanks but still be able to ask the other questions? It's clear the dialog tree will be quite a bit different this time around, with Dragon-Snow saying they're streamlining it, but I'm still hoping you can say thanks to him. Seeing him lighten up after thanking him felt rewarding.

I guess so but I still found it sad how you couldn't get all the explanation/dialog from him then, if you always chose "thanks" since you couldn't go back to old dialog choices etc

I always saw the relationship with Puro as having two dimensions to it. Not only was being nice to him needed to convince him you were too good of a person to take as a host, showing gratitude to him and elevating him up would convince him that he isn't the "Monster" he thought he was. Saying thanks to him got the ball rolling on both of these ends, and if the endgame is still to meet those two goals, I can't think of a better way to start.

Right but he already changed lots of stuff, so he probably already knows if he wants to put them in or not! In the first game, the other different sentences weren't meaner if you didn't say thanks either, honestly

The thanking Puro is for endings and I don't think we will be anywhere near an ending with the next build. But I think being nice to Puro will still be necessary for him to want you as a friend rather than a host.
