Pausing Patreon on September but not really.

It’s been a while since I got to share any info with you. I like sharing but I tend to overshare and write too much, however I don’t want to be cold either cause that is not how I feel at all. So as usual, I’ll give a summary first and then elaborate on the personal side if you don’t mind reading a bit more.
- I apologize for the lack of activity, if you’re new you might not be very aware of my situation in the last months. I’m from Perú and moving to Spain to study by the end of September and it’s a lot in many ways. I’m also a bit of an introvert and communication doesn’t come off very naturally. However I don’t want that to be an excuse for not giving you content, I’m very grateful for the support here.
- I don’t like offering things I end up not giving so I’m pausing Patreon during September for all the lack of activity during August. I actually have more time since yesterday but I want to use it to draw and stream and give you all I couldn’t during last month. So I’ll still be letting you know of streams via Discord and working and on the pieces I haven’t finished yet. I’d still upload on Patreon if it lets me, I just don’t want to charge you xd.
- I also will be pausing it during October. I’ll be in Spain on September 29th, and I guess I’ll be focused on surviving, making connections and finding a place to move.
- Once I’m back I’ll be adjusting things to suit better my new life as a student.

Now for the more personal part. It really is a lot of preparation to move to another country, and I’m a bit embarrassed for always repeating the same “I’m sorry for not being as active as I wanted” thing for months, but I really am hahah. Since the end of 2019, my life’s been changing a lot and I have to readjust and readapt to a new context or new conditions every two months. I started Patreon during 2020, so it’s always been this kind of whirlwind. What makes it hard is that I can’t foresee how things will be in two months, either because it was something new I hadn’t faced before and miscalculated or because it really is sudden and a surprise.
I really think it wasn’t the best moment to open a Patreon page, from a business-like point of view. I can’t tend to it properly, I’m not consistent and what I say I can offer stops being the same as what I can actually offer in two months or less. It’s also hard changing it because, if I state new things, for how long will they be valid until I have to change those as well? A month or two? Should I change it now or wait?
However, from a support-wise point of view, I’ve had a great experience and I can’t stress enough how incredible I find that, through my troubled times and what I feel as failures, there’s people who stick with me. I also have a lot of respect and appreciation for those who come, have a look, then leave and maybe come back again after some months. It’s been very interesting to get to know the different ways people use this page both as content creators and supporters.
Sometimes I’m afraid to share how I feel about this because I don’t want to seem as if I’m looking for sympathy, but I just would like to be more open in general.
Anyway, back on the moving to Spain thing, is not only documents, buying and selling things, going to the doctor, or setting all my financial stuff in order, it’s also seeing friends I don’t know I’ll be seeing again, dealing with family issues, surprise visits and conversations, and dealing with a lot of heavy thoughts and fears in my mind regarding this new stage. I’m very excited and willing to face it, but there's definitely a scary side. I think it's all part of a process like this though.

Woo! Moving countries sounds exciting! (and stressful. :3) But you’ll do amazingly! Just never give up! You are creative, skilled, nice, fun, accepting….. I’ll just say you’re awesome!
