“You’re weak Victoire…You can’t save your father, just give up and accept that you’re weak...You don’t have what it takes to become a curse-breaker!” The figure that looked like Harry said.
His emerald eyes were glowing but it wasn’t the usual warm glow Victoire was so used to seeing in her crush, no, this fake version of Harry was preparing himself to strike and force her to give up and accept her fate.
“You’re a very bad copy of Harry…No matter how much I love him, I would never give up my dreams for anyone!” Victoire raised her wand.
“But…You’re still attracted to me, right?” He asked with a tone that made Victoire blush.
It seems like of all the things that the thing took inspiration for Harry, his smooth side was the one he captured the most, however, she shook her face remembering that this wasn’t real.
She was indeed uncertain about her future with Harry, she was planning on confessing her feelings to him after this adventure but no matter how much she liked the older man, if he decided to reject her, she had already decided to give up on him, she was too young to lose her mind, and no matter how much she loved Harry, she wasn’t going to put anyone above her dreams.
“Yes…You have his voice, his beautiful eyes, and his body too, you also seem to be as strong as him…However, there’s something you don’t have…And that’s his personality,” the blonde witch had a stern expression.
The copy was smirking until a cutting curse passed through his cheek.
“The real Harry would never treat me like an object of some sort, he’s a strong, handsome caring man…I will never forget the day I graduated, I had lots of doubts about myself and what to do in the future…He encouraged me to follow my dreams and become a curse-breaker, he even helped me train so I could get stronger…Seeing you acting like him it’s an insult to me!” Victoire spat before she started to catch her breath.
“Well…If that’s what you think then why am I still here? Why are we still fighting? You can't destroy me because you’re too weak, that’s why!” The figure that looked like Harry suddenly raised his wand and sent a cutting curse towards her that she managed to avoid thanks to a shield she managed to cast.
Victoire didn’t know what possessed her but she managed to avoid all the attacks the figure that resembled Harry sent towards her, the two of them were naked and they were making a mess out of this place.
“Well well, it looks like at least you’re good when it comes to being a coward…Let me reveal you a secret…I was just playing around…It’s time I get a little serious!” The fake Harry said before chuckling.
Victoire was nervous she didn’t know which kinds of spells she was going to receive but she knew she needed to destroy him before he tried something even worse.
“Bombar—” Victoire was about to say but then she fell on the floor.
The Harry look-alike cast a wordless spell and then she felt as if something was invading her body, it was as if a million ants were inside her veins, soon, her body started to shake and her heart suddenly started to beat faster, and faster, she fell on the ground screaming as some tears tried to escape from her eyes.
“That was one of my inventions…Or well, one of the original Harry’s inventions, you see, he grew up in the muggle world and no matter how many amazing things he can do with magic, he still tries to preserve some things like electricity…This spell is too useful, it helps you put criminals under control!” The figure said as it was getting closer and closer to Victoire. “He calls it the taser spell or something like that!” The figure raised his wand and pointed it at Victoire.
The blonde started to cry, she knew her end was coming, she knew it too well, there’s a reason why Harry is one of the eldest wizards in the forces right now, he's someone who managed to defeat the dark lord and someone who has worked for so long as an Auror, and if he has done that he's either too lucky or too strong, but considering all the people Harry has lost through his life, it’s obvious that luck is not on his side.
“You know…Muggles have a lot of creative ways to kill other people, I’m going to test something on you as it’s still in development, muggles have this thing called guns…Let’s test the magical version of it, shall we?” Asked the figure in an amused tone.
This was it, this was Victoire’s end, she knew what guns were, after all, her brother and cousins were addicted to video games and those shooting games were more than explicit enough to explain what a gun is.
“Goodbye Mum, Dominique, Louis, and everyone…I’m sorry for failing you, Dad!” Victoire closed her eyes ready to accept her fate.
But then something that made her eyes wide open happened.
“Victoire…Vicky, where are you? Please, don’t give up, we’re waiting for you, we need you here…You can do it, remember those lessons I gave you…I wasn’t lying when I told you that you had the potential to join the Auror forces, you’re strong, and I know you can pass this test…I trust you, please come back!” The voice of the original Harry Potter said on her mind.
To say that she was surprised would be the understatement of the century, Victoire didn’t know how that was possible but it was enough for her to snap and keep fighting.
“No…I can’t give up yet…Someone’s waiting for me!” Victoire didn’t know how but she managed to grab her wand that fell on the floor and with a quick movement, she cast a cutting spell on the figure’s crotch.
The figure was too shocked by the blonde’s actions, it was clear that the thing wasn’t prepared for the unexpected because this gave Victoire enough time to get on her feet before pointing her wand at the confused figure.
“Please Vicky, you love me, right? Please—” The figure couldn’t continue because the blonde suddenly decided to cast a piercing spell on the figure’s heart.
Victoire’s eyes widened after seeing that the figure was screeching and turning into many shadows, and little by little, the illusion and the things inside of it started to disappear, soon, she was back in the real world and she was thankfully clothed because she was on a garden and suddenly she was being hugged by her aunt Hermione while the rest were greeting her.
“I’m glad you’ve made it…We were starting to get worried!” Hermione said as she held her niece closer.
“I was about to give up…But I couldn’t stop thinking about all of you,” Victoire was on the verge of crying. “But most of all…I want to thank you, Harry…Your words of encouragement motivated me to not give up!” The blonde was looking at the older man with a loving expression.
Harry who seemed to be happy to see the younger witch alive suddenly changed his expression for a more concerned one.
“Victoire…I didn’t say anything…It would have been useless, we realized early that our messages reached the people who were still trapped under their illusions,” Harry explained with a concerned tone.
“No, I’m sure I heard your voice,” Victoire suddenly said the words she heard from Harry.
Soon, everyone but Harry looked at Victoire with confused expressions, Harry on the other hand was blushing completely shocked. What Victoire heard, he said it in his mind, this didn’t make any sense to the older man, and a thought suddenly appeared in his head, something about a bond but he decided to not say anything else, this was no time for him to think about his love life, he'll have to speak with Victoire alone though.
