Darkness was the only thing Harry could see, and he wasn’t the only one who was seeing that. Soon, he started to hear how his friends were a bit confused about this situation.
“Guys, are you there?” Asked Charlie with a confused tone.
Soon, Harry, Hermione, Victoire, and Lucero told him that they were fine and nothing was wrong with them for the moment. However, soon, they started to hear a voice, it was the voice that gave instructions on the levels except the first one.
“All your life you have depended on the light to trust where to go, where to move, what to touch, what to ignore, that’s why everything has turned black…In this ordeal, light has been disabled and there's nothing but darkness.
However, darkness and light are always connected, and that’s why to find your way out of this place, you’ll have to defeat the part of you that you have well hidden, the dark part that you try to keep as deep as possible and you try to avoid anyone to seeing it.”
Soon, the group gasped as exact copies of themselves appeared in front of them, the only difference was that they were expressionless, it seemed like they were ready to destroy their original counterparts. Soon, the voice in the sky spoke once again.
“One must always be at balance and if you’re unable to defeat that dark part of you, then there’s no point for anyone to keep going…Good luck warriors,” the voice finally said.
“Guys, please focus and don’t forget why we’re here, think about why we’re here and I’m sure you won’t have any problems defeating your dark counterparts,” Harry said with the calmest tone possible even though he wasn’t as calm as he would like to believe.
He was waiting for his friends to say something, but it seemed like they couldn’t hear him as no words came out from them, he tried to remain as calm as possible, but the possibility of them being defeated already was something that made him worry once he thought about it.
“I get it…It looks like we can’t interact with each other now that the battle started…” Harry mumbled to himself. “Please guys…Don’t die,” Harry said in a low tone.
He was sure that the ones who'll win this duel could continue to the next level, however, the thought of continuing without any of them made him gulp, it wouldn’t be worth it, the point of this journey was to bring Bill back not to add more deaths to the count.
He decided to shake his thoughts for a moment as he remembered that he had to face his dark counterpart, the one that was probably influenced by the presence of the Horcrux that he had when he was young, if his theory was true, then this version was very dangerous because contrary to what he is now, he used to be so impulsive and he didn’t think twice before charging against his enemies.
Still, the two of them remained in silence for a few moments and neither of them moved, it seemed like they were expecting the other to attack before doing something, this was weird, not only the thing would have Voldemort's Horcrux characteristics but it seems like his counterpart had also acquired the abilities he got as an adult, this wasn’t good.
“Fuck…I can’t be here forever…Expeliarmus!” Harry screamed and surprisingly, his copy dodged and raised his wand with a wicked smirk.
“Sectumsempra!” Screamed the copy.
Harry’s eyes widened after hearing that, he managed to cast a protective shield but his copy suddenly started throwing more and more dangerous hexes including the unforgivables, in the end, he couldn’t keep the shield for too long, he couldn’t act like that forever, he needed to focus.
However, as soon as Harry stopped for a few moments as he tried to think of a way to counterattack, it seemed like his copy stopped in his tracks too.
“Think Harry…THINK!” The original said to himself.
He was already preparing a shield in his mind in case his clone decided to continue with his attacks but the attacks never came.
“Wait a minute…” Harry said in a low tone.
There was a theory he wanted to test, it was dangerous but he needed to find a way to defeat his dark copycat, he needed a weakness even if it was minuscule, no matter how small the chance was, he could work with that because he felt a little lost right now.
“Okay, let’s see what you can do against this!” Harry screamed and soon he started to run towards where his copy was standing.
But the clone wasn’t going to just stand there, soon, dangerous hexes started to come out of the copy’s wand and of course, Harry already had prepared himself to dodge and protect himself against the spells he could get.
After all, there was no terrain here, there was nothing but darkness, he couldn’t use his surroundings to do something against that thing, however, in the middle of this he realized something, he realized that the thing was in the same place the whole time, it didn’t move, which clearly meant something to Harry.
“This thing is just designed to attack, or at least my dark counterpart can only attack, he’s not moving, he doesn’t use shields, and it seems like my dark counterpart is too arrogant…There’s no doubt that he has Tom Riddle’s characteristics, the Horcrux clearly influenced this side of me…I can’t believe it!” Harry said to himself.
He continued moving and getting closer and closer to the thing that continued attacking him and surprisingly, the thing managed to land a few spells but even if they weren’t dangerous, they were strong enough to give him some cuts.
“Riddikulus!” Harry suddenly said as he was too close to the thing and his spell landed successfully on it.
He had a theory about this thing, he felt like this might be a boggart, and that’s why he was so scared of this side of his, in fact, after he attacked Malfoy in his sixth year, he feared what he could become if he embraced the darker side of magic.
However, his theory was suddenly shot down because the thing didn’t seem bothered by the anti-boggart spell, in fact, the thing looked more motivated as it raised the wand, Harry’s eyes widened because he knew what was about to happen.
“If you truly are a part of Tom Riddle then I know what you’re going to do and I know how to stop you before you do it!” Harry said as he gritted his teeth.
He was so close now to the thing that it was impossible to dodge what was about to happen, so, he needed to attack differently.
“Avada—" The thing started but it couldn’t continue due to Harry’s actions.
“Take this!” The original Harry screamed as he kicked his copy’s groin.
He was worried about how to defeat this thing, but if he truly was a copy of himself, he knew a way to defeat him as there’s a muggle way to defeat any man or wizard even if it was kind of extreme, a kick in the balls never fails regardless if it’s a magical or a normal man, and this copy suddenly fell to the floor.
“Well, I better get rid of you before you do something else, Avada—” Harry raised his wand but then stopped the attack as he saw the thing turning into Sirius Black, he was looking the same way he looked back when died.
“Harry…Please, don’t kill me again, don’t—” Harry didn’t think twice.
He killed the thing, and soon, he started to sob as he fell on the floor and soon, the place started to get lit and he was greeted by a beautiful sight that looked magical, he was in the mountains, and there were lots of green grass and a lot of beautiful flowers, the sun was shining, there was also a clean river, but even if the place was beautiful he couldn’t stop thinking about his godfather.
