The events of his sixth year of education and the war truly changed the younger man, even Snape (the professor who never saw Harry as someone with potential) was impressed by how focused he was, the two of them shared a purpose and the older wizard couldn’t help but think about what he was doing at Harry's age, there was no way he would be able to be in the younger man’s shoes.
