Harry Potter was in a strange place, the last thing he remembered was that he was in the same room as the dark lord after the mission with Bellatrix and Rodolphus failed, but that’s not the strangest thing here, he wasn’t alone, a figure or maybe the spirit of Albus Dumbledore was standing in front of him telling him a lot of things about life and death.
That’s the moment when he remembered what happened after he arrived with the remains of Rodolphus and Bellatrix, the bastard didn’t believe him when he told him what happened with the Carrows, no matter how many times he used legimency, or looked into his manipulated memories, the dark lord wasn’t convinced, so, he tried to get the truth out of Harry by force and he used the cruciatus until he couldn’t move any longer because he was dead.
“So…Is this the end professor? Well, I guess the rest will take care of the snake and maybe if they join forces they can destroy him once he becomes mortal again, I want to see my parents…” Harry said with a melancholic tone.
“Are you sure about it?” Asked the older wizard as he looked at something on the other side of the place.
Harry’s eyes widened as he saw some kind of baby, alien, or some kind of strange humanoid creature that resembled lord Voldemort.
“Is it…Dead?” Asked Harry to the legendary wizard.
“Yes Harry…The night he attacked your parents, a Horcrux was created…Just like we theorized, you were a Horcrux an unwanted one perhaps but a Horcrux at the end of the day,” the older wizard said with a calm tone.
“What do I do now professor?” Asked Harry, even after everything he had gone through, he was still a young man with a lot of doubts in his mind.
It wasn’t fair for the world to rest on the shoulders of someone like him, he didn’t want the responsibility, he wanted to live his life, he wanted to rest and now that he was dead he was going to get that probably.
“That’s up to you Harry…You could follow me and come with us…Or you can come back and finish what only you can finish…It’s up to you,” the older wizard said before he started walking in the same direction from where he came from.
After questioning the headmaster, Harry remained even more confused, was this really happening? Did he really die? Before he could come to a conclusion he realized that the professor was gone and the thing was gone too, the disappearance of the professor was a clear message to him…He needed to come back but the professor, as usual, didn't have the guts to tell him that, still, he decided to come back from where he came from.
Little by little, he was opening his eyes and soon, he started hearing a conversation between two known voices, he was still confused, he didn’t know if that was real but there’s one thing for certain as he caressed his body and reached for his scar, he realized that it didn’t hurt any longer, he couldn’t continue checking his body because he suddenly started to cough.
“Harry!” Narcissa said.
“Is he…Alive?!” That was Snape.
They were in some kind of laboratory with beds, it seemed like this was the place where they treated the wounded, he needed to explore this place more.
“Come on, take this…” Snape said as he gave him a vial.
Harry started to drink the potion and little by little he was regaining his senses, soon, he reached for his glasses and he could see a very concerned Narcissa and a very shocked Snape.
“What happened?” He asked with a confused tone.
“The dark lord wasn’t happy about the outcome of the mission that caused the death of Rodolphus and Bellatrix, he wanted to get the truth out of you and he tortured you to death…Or at least we thought he killed you, but here you are,” Snape couldn’t believe it. “It seems like not even death wants you, Potter,” the professor said with a sarcastic tone.
“Yeah, it’s good to see you too again professor, the last time we saw each other you killed Dumbledore…Who are you planning to kill in front of me now? I’m sorry to disappoint you but I don't think the dark lord would be happy if you killed Cissa,” Harry said with a sarcastic tone. “Is that what really happened? I don’t remember anything about what happened these past few days…” Harry lied he knew everything but it was best to keep that information to himself.
It seemed like a fight was going to start but Narcissa decided to intervene and put herself between the two men before she suddenly joined Harry on the bed.
“I was so worried about you!” She said before she started to sob,
Harry felt guilty, even if he didn’t love the woman, the last thing he wanted was to make her feel bad, and considering what happened to her son and husband as she told him that the dark lord killed them, there was no doubt that what happened to him brought her memories of that awful day.
“Don’t worry…I won’t die too easily, I promised to be with you forever, right?” Asked Harry with a fake smile.
Narcissa felt some guilt for making this young man fall for her as hard as he did, to be honest, she wasn’t too much concerned about his well-being, he was good and fun in bed there was no doubt about that but she was concentrated on saving her husband and son that were trapped by the dark lord and the only one who could defeat him was Harry, that’s the only reason she was concerned.
“Yes, yes…You’ll have time to catch up later Narcissa…I need to speak with Mr. Potter privately,” Snape suddenly intervened, he was getting annoyed by these two.
“Severus but…” She couldn’t continue as one of her hands was suddenly grabbed by Harry’s hand.
“Cissa…Please, I know he’s a git, but I’m sure Snape has good reasons to want to be alone with me, after all, he's now the strongest and closest follower of the dark lord and no one wants to make the dark lord mad, right?” Asked Harry with a happy smile at the woman who he was pretending to love.
Narcissa was a little frustrated, there was something she needed to discuss with him but in the end, she decided to leave them be.
“I’ll be waiting for you wearing nothing at all in our room…” She whispered in his ear. “Don’t take too long darling,” she said as she got out of the lab.
Snape and Harry watched her leave, the young man had a happy expression and Snape didn’t seem to care too much and when she finally left, the older wizard applied a silencing spell to avoid what he was going to talk with Harry to leak out.
They stared at each other with serious expressions, and there seemed to be a bit of anger between them but suddenly they sighed relieved, and shared a handshake, the two of them were happy that the other was alive, after all, they were on the same page, still, Harry knew what was coming.
“Before you call me out for my recklessness, there’s something you need to know—” Harry couldn’t continue as he was face to face with the man after a fraction of a second.
“Is it dead?” Snape asked with a serious tone.
“Do you mean the thing that was inside of me? Yes, it’s dead...Dumbledore, he was right,” Harry said with a smirk.
“Merlin’s beard…I’m glad…Now the only remaining thing is the fucking snake,” Severus said with a relieving tone.
“Don’t worry Severus…We’re going to kill that snake, we just need a moment a small opportunity and that will be enough as long as the dark lord doesn't realize what happened with his Horcruxes,” Harry said to the older man.
They were now speaking as if they were the best friends ever, they had to keep a façade, but what very few people know is that this whole plan was orchestrated by Dumbledore and Hermione during the sixth year, due to the connection Harry had with Voldemort he couldn’t receive information about the Horcruxes or what they were planning to do to destroy them, that’s why Hermione was the one leading everything in the shadows now.
But that's not all, Snape was collaborating with Harry and his friends now despite the apparent feud between them and the bullying the professor put his former students through, but the image the world had about the relationship between Snape and the Golden trio was nothing but a farce, all of them had the same objective, and that was to destroy the Horcruxes and Voldemort once for all.
