Bellatrix had a horrified expression as she lay lifeless on the floor of the Carrow household, in front of her Neville Longbottom was staring furiously at her with his wand pointed at her.
“Come on Neville…You did it, you cruciated her to death…” Harry said on the other side of the room.
He didn’t care too much about Bellatrix but he was worried that his friend might become addicted to doing this, he will never forget the first time he killed his first death eater, he accidentally said Voldemort’s name and it didn't take too long for his snatchers to appear, and they were about to capture him and his friends but thankfully, he managed to overcome and kill them all before they could use his friends as hostages.
And ever since then, the Horcrux hunt was like that, saying Voldemort’s name from time to time to get rid of his cockroaches, at some point it became so easy for him and his friends to never ask and just shoot but they still tried not to get too addicted to that power, after all, they were trying to not become as power-obsessed as them, that’s why he was a little worried about Neville but when he started hearing the sobs and his parents names, Harry’s doubts suddenly cleared out but now he had something important to discuss with his best friends.
“Hermione…Ron, I want you to take this with you,” Harry gave them something that he extracted from his mind.
They knew what was contained in that little bottle, it was the memories of these past few days in his life as a death eater, Hermione took it and Ron nodded at them.
“There’s a map in there where you-know-who’s allies are located, you guys and the order need to try to bring them down, I know it’s hard but I heard that the dark lord is preparing something to lure the order, and our so he could end this war once for all and it’s not going to be a nice battle, trust me, so, use all the charms and spell we invented during our trip even the dark ones,” Harry told them with a serious tone.
“What’s the next step in the plan, Harry?” Ron asked with a serious expression.
“I’m taking Bellatrix’s body and Rodolphus’ remaining arm with me and I’m going to modify my memories to make it look like some cloaked figures ambushed us, I’m burning this house down too, with a controlled fiendfyre so there won’t be any evidence left,” Harry explained and they nodded.
“Is there something I can do Harry aside from helping with the raids on their bases?” Hermione asked with a concerning tone.
“Yes, in the next few days I want you to reunite all our allies who wish to fight and bring them to Hogwarts, we'll make it easy for the dark lord to attack us there and then you have to prepare for the final section of our plan, now it will be time for you and our allies to free Hogwarts of the control of the remaining death eaters, I need to see Snape so, I suggest you guys make him retreat, I’m sure that he’s going to visit the headquarters once you kick him out of Hogwarts,” Harry said with a serious tone.
Both of his friends nodded, they knew it was dangerous, but Harry was risking his life more than they were doing it, he was going to come back to the Death Eater headquarters to take care of Voldemort’s snake, that was something that required lots of guts and they were worried about him.
Still, they knew better than to stop him, they’ve tried many times but at some point, even Hermione agreed that the best course of action they could take was to find the Horcruxes directly instead of wandering around and relying on luck to destroy them.
“Harry…Please take care!” Hermione said before surprising him with a tight hug.
Harry was about to protest, but he couldn’t say no to his best female friend and soon, he hugged her back but it didn’t take too long for Ron to hug him too, he smiled at his red-haired friend who was trying his best to look as tough as possible but in reality, he was as scared as Hermione or even more.
“I know you guys are worried but luckily I still have Dobby as my backup plan,” Harry said even if Hermione didn’t like to take advantage of the house elf’s abilities.
She couldn’t help but overlook it this time, the world, everyone even the house elves depended on Harry destroying that snake and Voldemort, there was no time to be picky when it came to the methods they had to use, that’s something they couldn't afford now and they’re just hoping that people in the future could forgive them for what they’re doing.
“Did Harry Potter call Dobby?” The house elf suddenly appeared and Harry nodded to his friends. “Yes, Dobby, I want you to bring back my friends to our headquarters please,” Harry said to the elf who nodded without hesitating. “Come on guys grab Neville and get the fuck out of here before you-know-who thinks we’re taking too long,” Harry told his friends who nodded violently at him.
The thought of encountering the dark lord was something that made them feel more than scared, they didn’t have the same willpower as Harry to not fear the monster as they thought he should be feared, but on the other hand, they felt lucky to have him on their side, he was giving them hope.
“Harry…I want to thank you for giving me this opportunity to avenge my parents,” Neville approached him with a sad tone.
“There’s nothing to be thankful Neville…You deserved to take her down and send her to hell where she belongs, now she won’t hurt other innocent people,” Harry said before he shared a handshake with Neville and a small hug.
“Take care, mate,” Neville said with a worried tone.
“I will…Don’t worry, we’ll see each other soon,” Harry promised his three friends. “Well, it’s time Dobby, get out of here before things get ugly,” Harry told his elf friend at his level and the creature nodded.
His friends waved him goodbye for the last time and soon, with a poof, Dobby and his close friends disappeared.
“Well, I guess it’s time for you and me to go back,” Harry said with a cold tone as he looked at the horrified expression on Bellatrix's face, that's the last thing she did before she died, she truly felt the hatred from Neville's cruciatus.
Using a levitation spell, he moved the body and walked outside of the home as he carried Rodolphus' remaining arm with his free hand and it didn’t take too long for him to throw the body near a three, Harry gave one last look to the house before he pointed his wand at it and called for a fiendfyre, luckily the house was completely enchanted for the fiendfyre to consume everything and itself in the end so the thing won’t expand outside of these lands.
Harry walked towards Bellatrix’s body, he grabbed some of her blood and put some of it on his body, hands, and clothes to make it look like he was attacked too, while carrying Bellatrix, he stared at the house that was burning before he finally apparated back to the death eater headquarters and by pure coincidence, he landed on the dark lord’s room.
“My lord...We…We were attacked!” Harry said with a scared tone.
Voldemort looked emotionless at the scene Potter was making, he wasn’t sure what to think of this, to say he was disappointed about the dark-haired wizard would be an understatement.
But most of all, he was angry at Bellatrix and Rodolphus, they were supposed to be some of his strongest allies, how could they have been ambushed and defeated so easily, many questions had to be answered and Potter would have to take responsibility for the unsuccessful mission.
