“So…You had sex with Tonks and another woman named Fleur Delacour because you thought that would help you to control your powers?” Asked Hermione finding it hard to believe he did that.
She knew she shouldn’t, but it made her feel a little uneasy hearing that Harry had sex with someone who was not her, and on top of that he did it with two women, if only Hermione had known, she would’ve helped him by joining them.
“What am I even thinking?” Hermione thought to herself before she calmed down.
She felt like such a hypocrite, after all, she has had her fair share of experiences with other people, of course, she hasn't had any boyfriends in her life but she surely has had fun with women.
“In different circumstances I’d say that I’m just joking but no…That’s the truth and before you hex me for doing that, you need to know that it worked…I was able to use my powers for a few moments, I didn’t want the thing to get out of control so, I stopped using my magic but for a brief period I was able to control it,” Harry told her with a happy expression.
Hermione couldn’t believe what she was hearing, she knew she should’ve been used to things like this, after all, this wasn’t the weirdest thing she had heard or read about in her life, in fact, this was too innocent compared with the early days of magic when people were making human experiments to test the recently created spells, but still, she wasn’t too happy to talk about this.
“So…Do you want to have sex with me?” Hermione asked with a funny tone but she quickly regretted after neither Tonks nor Harry laughed. “Oh, sorry, it’s just that, I don’t know how else can I be of help and I want to help you Harry, trust me,” Hermione said with a more serious expression.
“Well, that’s not a bad idea but…” Tonks said with an embarrassed tone.
“We’d like to get some information about love…And how love can also be a weapon,” Harry finally said what he wanted and the librarian was a little taken aback by the confession.
She remained in silence for a few moments as she tried to think about what to say to them after they asked her that but for some reason, it was quite difficult for her to get an answer, it's been so long since the last time but Hermione realized something, she had no idea what to tell them.
“I’m sorry but…I can’t remember anything, a book, a magazine, a paper…Nothing,” the librarian was as clueless as them.
“Oh, I didn’t know people didn’t know people never thought about studying love considering is the most reliable and powerful magic out there, or at least I think it is,” Harry said with some disappointment in his tone.
“Well…There are some people that through history studied love and they were very passionate about it but…Or at least that's what the myths say,” Hermione said hesitating to continue because she was thinking about legends and events though those things are interesting, she values logic over anything else.
“Please, I’ll believe anything you say, I just need a starting point to work with to find a way to destroy the thing that’s inside me,” Harry said in a pleading tone and Hermione was a little surprised to see him acting like that but in the end, she nodded.
“I’m talking about the veelas of course, to be more precise, the veela queendom,” Hermione said with a calm tone.
“Wait a minute…Why Fleur didn’t tell us about this?” Asked Tonks with a shocked tone.
“Oh, that’s because the veelas abandoned their queendom more than a thousand years ago when they decided to just become a normal part of the wizarding society,” Hermione explained to them.
She didn’t personally know that woman but she was sure none would believe that such a place would exist after so long, it sounded more like a legend.
“It is said that there was no better race when it comes to love and its properties than veelas, so, I’m assuming that in case that queendom didn’t completely disappear, I’m sure there’ll be some interesting books there, we also can’t disregard the ruins,” Hermione clarified and her two visitors were awed by her words.
“Hermione…Do you know how to reach that place? The veela queendom?” Asked Harry with a motivated tone.
“Not exactly as there isn’t a lot of information about it…It was said it was located close to Greece and Cyprus, you should better ask your veela friend though maybe she or her family know more about it,” Hermione said as she caressed her chin.
“Well, I guess I know where I should be going now…Thank you so much Hermione and I know this might sound weird but if you need something in exchange for your help, don’t hesitate to tell me and I’ll try to make it up to you,” Harry said with a happy tone.
“Then…I want a date,” Hermione didn’t even think twice.
Harry and Nymphadora were surprised by her honesty, the older witch, in fact, already expected that Hermione would say something like that, it was so obvious that she was more than interested in meeting Harry often.
“A date? But—” Harry tried to find the logic but with one movement of her hand, she made all the arguments Harry had in his head to stop.
“Harry…I need to move on with my life and I know I will never do that unless I experience how it feels dating you,” Hermione said in a calm tone.
Harry wanted to argue that logic of hers, however, he knew that regardless of what he was going to say he was sure Hermione had already ten arguments saved to convince him but also…He kind of had regrets in his life too, letting Hermione go was one of the worst mistakes in his life, he was also wondering what could happen if he and Hermione dated each other but soon, he made those thoughts disappear.
You should accept Harry…Remember that we’re trying to find the right kind of love to succeed…Who knows? Maybe you can find the key piece to solve this problem the more people you date,” Tonks encouraged him and he was surprised because he remained in silence for a few moments.
Tonks was right, he needed to continue experimenting, he had the theory that to destroy that thing that was resting inside his body, he needed to find the love of his life, however, the most important reason why he was hesitating was because he felt bad for Fleur and Tonks, nothing serious indeed going on between them but he still feels a little guilty, like he was cheating on them.
“Dinner tonight?” Asked Harry with a warm smile.
Hermione who wasn’t expecting him to accept nodded with a shy expression and Harry couldn’t help but find her adorable.
“Harry…I promise you won’t regret it, I’m going to show how all the feelings I’ve been saving up since those days, and I hope I’ll be able to do something to help you with your problem,” Hermione said with an assuring tone.
“I’ll try to give you the most amazing date in your life Hermione…Regardless of what could happen, I want to make this a pleasant night for you,” Harry promised her, and even though she had already grown up, Hermione felt like she was back at those schooldays when she was so obsessed with him.
