There was a silence in the room, neither Fleur, Nymphadora nor Harry wanted to say something, what they learned today about Lily’s investigation had left them completely speechless, she risked her life for something that she wasn’t sure could be real, and yet, in the end, she was right, there was a Horcrux inside Harry just like she theorized.
“So…Love, uh?” Fleur suddenly asked with a slight smirk on her face.
“Yes…You’re kind of an expert when it comes to that, right Fleur?” Asked Nymphadora with a curious look on her face.
“I don’t like the wording you’re using, it could make Harry misunderstand what I really am,” the French witch sighed. “But yes, I’m a veela…Love has been part of my life since the day I was born and I’ve been taught about love for years but this is the first time I’ve heard that it could lead to something like that,” Fleur was surprised by such discovery.
Nymphadora felt a little guilty for making Fleur look like she had many lovers, that was a stereotype people had of veelas but to be honest, it’s been years since Fleur’s last relationship.
After analyzing what the French witch said, Nymphadora’s eyes widened because an idea came to her head, so, she suddenly whispered something in Fleur’s ears, the blonde was taken by surprise but she couldn’t help but smirk at the idea she had been suggested.
“It’s getting late…I think we should call it quits for the day, I think we should continue investigating tomorrow, what do you think Harry?” Asked the metamorph and suddenly she caught Harry’s attention.
He had been looking a little lost but after hearing his name, he came back to reality, he had a serious expression but it didn’t take too long for him to nod with a calm smile on his face.
“Yes you’re right, we’ve been through so much…I think there won't be any problem if we take a break,” Harry’s face suddenly changed and now he had a soft smile on his face. “Come with me, I’ll take you two to your dorms,” Harry suddenly got on his feet.
“We know our way, Don’t worry Harry, we’ll sleep in the same room, so, you stay here, we won't bother you any longer,” Fleur told him with a soft smile on her face.
Harry was surprised they were going to sleep in the same room but then he realized that they were probably too traumatized after that experience he knew that these two were probably too embarrassed to admit they were scared, so he decided to respect their decision, sadly he couldn't relate to them, he wasn’t scared at all for his safety he was more worried about them and his loved ones whose souls have been sucked from their bodies, so, it was hard for him to understand their behavior, but soon, he nodded at them.
“Okay, if that makes you girls happy I won’t bother you…I think I’ll stay here for a little longer, I want to keep looking at the rest of my mom’s notes, so…Good night ladies,” Harry bid them farewell and soon the women said their goodbyes too before they left the room as fast as they could which surprised Harry but in the end, he couldn't help but chuckle.
He also couldn’t help but smile after seeing them getting along, but then he quickly shook his thoughts off and got ready to continue looking for something in his mother’s notebook.
“Okay, let’s see, wait…This looks interesting, it seems like there’s a page with random notes,” Harry said to himself and soon he was flipping the pages until he reached the destination.
He was surprised to find draws with symbols and some other things he recognized from muggle mythology, he was aware of that because his mother made him and his brother study muggle history and culture when they were young, after all, as half-bloods, it was part of their culture too, Harry decided to indulge in his investigation.
Meanwhile back at the ministry…
“So…Have you gotten something from her?” Asked a dark-skinned wizard to Alastor Moody.
“Kingsley, If only this interrogatory would’ve taken place a hundred years ago, I would’ve gotten the information we want way earlier but…Thanks to those laws that protect criminals, she’s untouchable and she has been silent since the moment she arrived, she’s like a zombie, she hasn't even asked for a lawyer!” Alastor complained as they looked at the woman through a crystal glass where she was sitting.
Many wizards and witches would have confessed their crimes as soon as they arrived to avoid more problems in the future, however, this woman was sitting without showing any emotion, she had been acting like that ever since she arrived and she didn’t seem tired at all because it was late and she still had the same expression she had when she arrived.
“I hate these guys, they don't care about anything other than their organization, no matter how hard the situation looks, they always remain loyal to their cause,” the dark-skinned man said before sighing.
“I hope we can get permission to use veritaserum as soon as possible, we can’t keep wasting time like this,” Alastor couldn’t help but massage his temple as he contemplated the current situation he was in.
“Well, it seems like we’ll have to wait until tomorrow and then, we’ll have to wait to get attended by the judge in charge of approving those procedures, I’m a little worried he might not approve that request as fast as we want it, after all, his family is very close with the families of those who attacked the Potters, we confirmed that thanks to Fleur as they were spotted by her,” Kingsley sighed, Bellatrix was someone hard to get read.
“Well, I guess there’s no point complaining, there’s nothing we can do about this,” Alastor couldn’t help but admit defeat for the moment.
“Officer Moody, officer Shacklebolt…We have a report of suspicious activity happening a few kilometers from here,” a young Auror said as he barged into the room.
“What’s going on Addams?” Asked mad-eye with a confused expression.
“it seems like something has been set on fire, according to reports from our guys on the scene, a manor had been set on fire,” the young Auror said to his superiors.
“Well…We live in a world with lots of magic, I guess a fire or two isn’t unusual to happen occasionally, right?” Kingsley said with a raised brow.
“Yes, sounds more like an issue for the environmental department rather than us,” Alastor was a little tired of this.
“Officers…It seems like the culprits used fiendfyre!” The young Auror’s words made Kingsley and Alastor open their eyes as wide as possible.
“What?!” Alastor and Kingsley said at the same time. “Addams, call the Department of Hazardous Control and tell them what you know, I’m going there too,” Mad-eye couldn’t believe it.
That was a very dangerous spell and it seems like that place where the fiendfyre is currently burning was in the middle of nowhere, it's a very dry place with very little vegetation, it's like a steppe which is a perfect place where fire can freely spread and worst of all, it was fiendfyre, if they don’t get this thing in control, it can become a problem not only for their region but for the country.
“Be careful out there man, I’ll stay here to guard our princess of darkness,” Kingsley joked and the man with one eye nodded and got on his way.
Meanwhile back at Potter’s manor…
Harry had no idea what he was reading, now he was regretting not paying attention to the lessons back at Hogwarts.
“Fuck…I think I'll have to see Hermione so I can ask her about this…I just hope she doesn’t hold any grudges against me after I rejected her in our last year,” Harry sighed disappointed.
He was going to continue complaining but then, the door opened just like his eyes because suddenly Fleur and Nymphadora were inside his room and they were wearing nothing but nightgowns, the sight was so incredible that he was starting to think he was hallucinating, he needed to sleep.
