“W-What the…” A woman with a French accent said as she returned to the place where the members of the order of the phoenix were supposed to be fighting against the death eaters who decided to attack them.
But then, what she found was a horrific scene, and now she realized why she was lured to the other side of the forest by Daphne Greengrass who managed to escape after the woman with a French accent decided to use her allure on her. If only she hadn’t let her feelings get the worst out of her, she could’ve used her allure to control some of the death eaters.
But now everything was lost, Fleur was alone, all the members of the order of the Phoenix were lying on the ground and it seemed like all of them were dead, even Dumbledore looked to be dead, but the most horrific thing was that they had their eyes completely open and their faces were full of horror which caused the blonde to release a painful scream.
“No…Nymphadora, guys!” Fleur screamed as she ran as fast as she could to hug the metamorph's body. "Please, don't be dead...I was just joking when I challenged you for Harry's heart during the party!" The blonde said desperately.
She had a crush on the emerald-eyed wizard and she was planning to spend time with him during the party but Nymphadora decided to monopolize him which caused them to have a clash after the metamorph went to the bathroom, at that moment, Fleur challenged Nymphadora for Harry's heart, but now, the blonde felt guilty for doing that, she wanted to win but not in this way.
She couldn’t contain the tears as she held the older woman’s body, she was wailing for a few moments until she realized something, even though Nymphadora looked so pale, her body felt cold and she had a lifeless look, she was still breathing.
“What the…” The blonde with a French accent said and she suddenly called for the Aurors to arrive to investigate the scene, and while she waited for them, she decided to take a look at the rest of the members.
What she found made her feel a little strange, they were in the same state as Nymphadora, they were still breathing, however, no matter how much she tried to talk to them or move them, there was no response from them.
Suddenly, the Aurors arrived and the questions started.
“Delacour…What happened here!?” Asked desperately Alastor Moody as he stared at the scene in front of him.
“Oh Moody…It was horrible!” Fleur said with a sad tone as she explained to her fellow order member what happened.
Even though the man was part of the order of the phoenix, he managed to escape this because he was busy with his job, he loved his job more than anything else, and he only rested when there were meetings for the order, but for the rest of the day and the year, he was completely immersed in his job, there was nothing but chasing and killing death eaters on his mind.
But even after so many years on the job, this was the most gruesome scene Moody had seen in his life, and it wasn't like that just because all of the victims were his friends, it was because they weren’t killed, according to the forensic team, this looked to be the result of a massive dementor attack.
However, they also concluded that there was no trace of dementors here, after all, dementors are in service of the ministry, and the presence of just one of them in civilian areas would’ve been enough to raise a flag back at the ministry to send a team to get the creature back to them, not because they cared about the people but because it was a weapon they didn’t want anyone else to have, there were so many questions right now…
Meanwhile with Harry…
Harry had no idea where he was, but he was lucky to find a hut in the middle of a forest, and the surprising thing was that it was abandoned, this was a nice place to use as headquarters as he planned what to do next.
“I wonder how’s everyone,” he said to himself.
However, his eyes suddenly widened the moment he felt a presence behind him, he quickly turned around and he was confused because in front of him, there was a pale curly dark-haired woman, wearing a tight black cloak, if he could describe as her something it would be the human representation of death.
“Gone…All of them are gone,” the woman said with a wicked smirk on her face.
Harry was having difficulties recognizing the woman but for some reason, he felt she was someone he had seen previously but he wasn’t so sure when that happened, however, suddenly his eyes became bigger as he remembered the day he and his brother were kidnapped when they were kids, the incident in which their captor’s head exploded.
The woman was there that day and he learned her name as he spoke with the Aurors, but there was something he remembered very well, the Aurors were scared of that woman, she was someone very dangerous and for someone like him who doesn’t know how to use magic properly, it seems like things just have gotten worse.
“Y-You’re Bellatrix…Bellatrix Lestrange!” Harry said in a worried tone.
“Oh…It seems like little Potter has done his homework…Yes, I look like Bellatrix Lestrange…But I’m not the real one, I’m just an illusion who looks like her,” the figure in front of him said.
“Wait…I’ve killed your master and she sent an illusion to come after me?” He asked with a raised brow.
And even though the figure had no power to use, it seemed like hearing that he killed her master bothered her a lot, but she quickly calmed down, there was a very important reason why she was there.
“Yes, the original Bellatrix sent only a copy because she knew that in case she and her colleagues came after you then you were going to fight until you die!” The copy said with a serious expression.
“Hell yes, I would do that without thinking twice…In fact, dying would be the most favorable thing for me and the world,” Harry was so angry right now that he wasn’t going to let the figure intimidate him.
“Yes…It was predicted that you would act like that…If you die, our master’s last horcrux dies too, right?” She asked with a smirk and Harry couldn’t help but gulp.
The goddess already told him in the dream that the death eaters knew about the Horcrux inside him, and now the pieces of the puzzle were starting to get in its place little by little, the woman probably realized he had that thing inside him after she found him and his brother sitting on the remains of her dead colleague who kidnapped him and his brother.
“That’s why we need you to visit our hideout by yourself, just turn yourself in alive and your parents, your older brother, and all the other people close to you will get their souls back…It's a good deal, don’t you think?” She asked in a mocking tone.
Harry’s eyes widened after he heard that, he couldn’t believe the words he had just heard, he was even feeling like he was going to lose his mind after hearing that proposal.
“W-What the…What are you talking about?” Asked Harry in a concerned tone.
“Our master isn’t only a strong wizard, he was also investigating and developing more dark and twisted magic and he had quite the interest in dementors…That’s why we picked up where he couldn’t finish and we got ourselves a very useful spell that can suck the souls of the people, that's the result of experimenting with dementors so much,” the woman then laughed like crazy.
“D-Don’t tell me that…” Harry mumbled a little scared.
“Yes…Your parents, your brother, your friends and loved ones, all of those people who decided to defy us in your home…Their souls are gone from their bodies,” the woman said with a wicked smirk.
Harry couldn’t help but fall on his knees, he couldn’t believe what he just heard, less than a day ago he was having fun with his friends and family, and now they were gone, he was fighting so hard to not let the tears come out of his eyes, he was trying to be strong, the last thing he wanted was to cry in front of the thing that looked like Bellatrix.
“Relax…They’re not dead yet…You can get their souls back and they can function like normal beings again, and you know why? Because we have their souls stored in some powerful crystals, however…We want something in exchange,” the figure in front of Harry said with a cold tone.
“You want the Horcrux inside me in exchange for that, right? Which means that I should give you total control of my body for you to do anything you want,” Harry said in an emotionless tone.
“Yes…See, that’s why you were the real boy who lived, I’m glad Dumbledore never realized the truth because if he trained, you would have been a real threat to us…” The figure who resembled Bellatrix giggled.
He was in a very difficult position right now.
“By the way…You have only twenty-four hours to make a decision, however, if you take longer than that we’re going to break the devices one by one until you give us what we want, oh, and one last thing, when you’re ready to accept your fate just call Bellatrix's name three times in front of a mirror…Bye!” The figure suddenly said before it disappeared forever.
This was the worst-case scenario for Harry, and now he was uncertain about what to do.
