And it's clear this person is somewhat new to Blender, but also seems pretty accomplished to create these models. Anyway, the Reddit community does it's best to provide as much information as possible, with all sorts of convoluted solutions-- like remodel with all quads, and transfer normals, etc.. Not much help. So, I decided to create a quick tute showing how easy it is to use Booleans to model with. Thought I'd share it here in case anyone is interested.

i tried the boolean method and i need to try on something with interior mesh. im getting lucky. or unlucky. intersting if i set to fast the geo stays the same. Exact doubles the geo
