That episode has been recorded at this point. I don’t usually do this type of thing for anything I watch, cutting off something that was put into an episode. Though obviously Anime intros and endings are whole different thing with their spoilers. Even the whole Kite thing, I actually don’t like doing that type of thing, watching another version to give more context to a version I’m watching. I believe that any show/version of a show has to stand on its own when being analyzed and reviewed. There was just no way for me to know why exactly HXH 99 Ep 1 was being recommended before I get to a certain point in the 2011 version.

It’s ok, let Im have an authentic experience and just watch the entire show as presented. Up until now he’s watched everything, let’s keep it that way and not change stuff up this late in the game all for a line which, let’s be real, isn’t some sort of show ruining spoiler or something.

yes, but the thing is that some production decisions are made solely by the anime creators. for example, narrator speeches with summaries (I'm talking specifically about the beginning and end of the episodes) have never existed in the manga. this is a simplification for TV. so we cannot talk about the distortion of his vision in this case

I personally want IM to experience ALL of HunterxHunter. If we keep telling him to skip all the “bad” parts we are doing a disservice to the author and to the analyst. I say let him experience the show the author envisioned. HxH is one of my favorite animes, but any fan would know it’s not without its flaws. I know the feeling of not wanting Im to say anything bad about the show, but I think we owe it to Togashi to not alter or distort his vision when showing his creation for the first time to another person.

IMO regarding future scenes, just watch everything, nothing needs to be skipped.

I really don’t think he should skip that tbh and he might have already watched the episode. It’s such a good line. He may or may not be annoyed by it but it’s in the show and therefore meant to be seen

Oh c'mon it's not a big deal, it's part of the episode and I do think he should listen to it. There have been other lines like that before and he didn't skip them (tho he was a bit annoyed)

It's just a single line of dialogue doesn't spoil much depending on how you see it but knowing Im he will be annoyed. I was thinking about it and the best advice would be to STOP reading the subtitles for ep 102 as soon as the ending theme kicks. In that way it doesn't interrupt the flow of the video and avoids narrator-kun at the same time.

Actually a really good episode, so much packed in it! Gon is using his enhancer side to its fullest here(little Uvogin hehe) and also great to see how sharp he is as you said. My favorite ending song is here let's goooo

I know you haven’t done it before but could you possibly start recording your reactions to the endings? Maybe even like unedited for patreons only so u don’t have to edit them and take up even more time? I would love to see your reactions to openings and endings, I’ve always wanted to see you react to the rumbling opening from AOT

I might recommend listening to it a few times before the series end (without watching of course). The motif of the ending may be used effectively in the actual show, much in the same way that the melody of Greed Island's ED heightened the impact of Gon and Killua's theme .
