End of December Update
🕑 Added 2024-12-31 04:10:41 +0000 UTCHello everyone
I have now switched over to subscription billing.
New members pay when they join and monthly on that same date instead of on the 1st of each month. For example, a member who signs up on April 12 is charged again on May 12.
Nothing changes for existing members. You will still be charged on the 1st of each month, If you choose to keep your current pledge active. If you choose to delete it, and come back another time, your new charge cycle will become that specific date.
This feels like the right change, as things are not quite on any specific schedule at the moment due to ongoing issues. If you are simply interested in specific content, at a specific time, this will give you a lot of flexibility.
For those of you who like to support me as a content creator regardless of specific output, I thank you once again for the continued support you have shown me this past year, you have my eternal gratitude. I know many of you rate my content quite highly, and get great enjoyment and value from it, and that will always be a great source of joy for me.
There are updated Tier descriptions as well, please a take a moment to check those out.
January Plans
I will be using the first two weeks of January to get some things in order, and set things up for a successful run for the coming months. I will treat those two weeks as bit of a break as well, to take care of some some non content creation things that need my attention in January.
Uploads will begin on January 15th. At that point, even stuff like HXH 24-28 edited versions will be uploaded through YouTube early access, If the situation with Vimeo isn't resolved. Though those could drop earlier as well if the situation is resolved before then.
- Arcane S2 will begin
- Return of Doctor Who S10, the final season I will be covering for the show
- The return of Monster
- HXH will continue to it's conclusion
- EVA Finale and Vinland S2 24/25
The above plans are what I consider definitive for January. There are other possibilities as well, such as Severance, but I'll see where things are around the 15th. I will put together a new schedule as it gets closer to January 15th.
Reminder
This was the last Update
Those full refunds are still on the table, please feel free to send me a DM.
Thank you to both the continuing and outgoing Patrons, I appreciate your support and the continued interest you have shown in my content :)
Happy New Year!!

Fate/Zero should never be watched as a standalone nor without any knowledge of the events prior. Anyone who disagrees doesn't know what they are talking about. There's only one correct watch order and anything other than that is personal preference. Ufotable's adaptation of UBW and HF is more than respectable although not ideal. Not the same can be said about Deen's Fate Route. That's why I always refer newbies to the visual novel. It's the same studio so I don't understand your gripe. Starting with F/Z does an unfair disservice to the rest of the series. It's not a franchise you can just dip your toes and go out and watch anything unless you finish the main storyline.

TODAY IS THE DAY 🤍🤍🤍

Fate/Zero is quite suited to be viewed as a standalone title, it was even written with some consideration for that. Yes, some things can feel unfinished, but even as a separate story it works almost perfect beacause of it's genre (no spoilers). Also it's low on episodes. I undersand you're a fan of the franchise, but friend, let's be real here, other anime adaptations of Fate (not talking about VN) won't be "up his alley". So Zero is totally worth watching even without any prior knowledge whatsoever - and I'm talking as a person who actully went through "correct" order first.

I think you misunderstand my message I’m not blaming him and in fact I’ve never ask for a refund even if he gives this opportunity many times. I was just sharing how i feel about this situation happening in this episodes, don’t understand what s wrong with it.

If u read the update, which he’s brought attention to multiple times he specifically stated he was taking January 1st-15th to get things in order and would not be uploading. If you feel some type of way still he would give you a refund ya know.

Bro I’m soooo ready, specifically for 131 and arcane season 2 reactions.

No update so I assume nothing change… oh man this situation is just so sad. Waiting so long for this specific 10-15 BIG episodes it’s really frustrating for us and for you also I’m sure. Just want to let you know I discover you on YT during Havens Arena arc and your amazing discussion skills make me made my first, and only, patreon subscription I have ever done. Hope we can come back to a normal weekly schedule it’s just so sad this happen in this episodes man…..

I am just putting out all the positive vibes possible in hopes of Severance in January… I know you’ve got your schedule but I hope it finds its way in. Perfect for the channel. Hope you’re enjoying the new year so far!

Happy New Year Im!! On the eva front, any idea on the cadence between 26 and EoE? I'm sure the 2 movies (EoE and AoT) are the 2 biggest projects on your horizon, but Aot seems to be a bit further out given the in process rewatch. I recall in a discussion you pondered a substantial gap before tackling the eva movie, but that was prior to the pre 26 rewatch during the release gap. All good if you prefer not to share this sort of behind the scenes stuff, or if you take a more play it by ear creative approach

Happy new year man. Hope all is well

Hey Im I noticed you have BOTW in your gaming playlist (exciting) so you should know that the remastered version of the Fate/stay night visual novel written by Nasu is officially available on Switch/Steam after more than 20 years of its original release. Fate/Stay night is a very lengthy VN made up of 3 differents routes unlocked one after the other focusing on different characters and storylines which are as follows: -Fate Route -Unlimited Blade Works Route -Heaven's Feel Route Once you've completed all the different endings and routes of the visual novel only then you can watch the Fate/Zero anime which is a prequel to the main series so it should be watched last. There are anime adaptations of the 3 different routes if you want to experience it that way but the watch order is a bit tricky so if you're interested I can provide that information. I just wanted to let you know that since you love to experience all kinds of different media.

Still in the middle of the rewatch. I’m not sure if you saw my response to someone in the YT channel update post, but it will be a comprehensive AoT video. Broken up into parts, discussing my rewatch and the finale as well.

thanks for the update and happy new year!

Happy new year and thank you for your continued output of HxH throughout the year despite the difficulties that were out of your control. I know it must be frustrating to have one of the best stretches of the anime be interrupted like that but 2024 was a very good year for the FilmBuff channel at least for me (who’s definitely a biased hxh fan) just as a reminder because it’s easy to forget but we’ve gotten the later half of the YorkNew city arc, Greed Island arc and most of the Chimera Ant arc this year not to mention episode 1 of 1999. That is an iconic line up man and a few years ago i would never have thought that we would get these reactions just because of how long this show is but look where we at. Again happy new year and here’s to a hopefully great 2025 💙

Happy New Year mate!
