The longer the wait the sweeter the reward. :D He has been having some trouble with vimeo, so that is probably the reason. Things happen, and even if the schedule is sometimes unstable. This is one of the fairest and most honest run patreons i have ever been part of. Honestly as someone who has been watching lm since he started with aot. I am happy we are getting any content at all. I could never have dreamt that we would be in the middle of the chimera ant arc. I remember when the first poll came out and HxH was part of the possibilty i was so happy. And then lm removed HxH from the poll because a lot of creators on youtube had problems with copyright claims. I honestly thought that was it. HxH is of the table. But look at where we are now. And I always was scared if lm would like the ant arc. But now to see how much he loves it. It is amazing. srry for the long rant😁

No it’s an understandable reaction. When the episode aired at the time i remember alot of people had similar experience. I myself have gotten used to it because of how many times I’ve rewatched this arc but I totally get how jarring it is on a first time watch.

lol now hold on folks, the voice and delivery is noticeably different. I don’t think I’ve clocked something impossible 😁 I’m not saying it’s a bad performance, but it just wasn’t what I’m used to, it was jarring and didn’t quite feel like the chairman. You’ll hear more of my thoughts in the post episode portion. Also, this was all before I found out that the original VA passed away.

I think the new VA for netero is pretty good. didnt even notice the change on first watch. Reminds me of the uncle iroh change in ATLA, i think both VA's did their best to honor the legacy of their characters

What is a newborn if not the ultimate rookie? The ant needs to be crushed, and we only know one man capable of crushing a rookie for good... It's a shame about Netero's voice actor passing away. I think the new one (Banjo Ginga) gives a good performance, but agreed that it's noticably different in tone to Ichiro Nagai's version which has a lot more playfulness to it.

Interesting that you pointed out that Pouf is so averse to changes, which is particularly significant given that he is 'born' as a butterfly. This means he has no further room for "development", as he cannot undergo metamorphosis, he's already in his final form from the start.

Honestly the new Netero voice actor didn't really bother me, I didn't even notice it at first when I was watching, very sad the original voice actor passed away, he was iconic

Patreons native player is terrible, it constantly buffers/freezes, makes the whole browser lag, changes quality randomly and has no manual quality settings. I strongly prefer youtube for timer reactions.

Yeah, unfortunately Netero's original voice actor, Ichirou Nagai, passed away so he was replaced from this episode onwards.. It's a bummer but I really hope it won't affect your enjoyment of the rest of the show too much.
