Mermay Day 19 🧜♀️ / Patagonia ⛰️ - Process
🕑 Added 2021-05-19 04:46:59 +0000 UTCHi Patrons!
For today's Mermay, I made a jellyfish mermaid for a change and it's inspired by the snow-capped mountains in Patagonia!
Lately, I've been feeling pretty frustrated with my ideas as things aren't working as how I envisioned it. I was struggling with the resting pose for a while so I had to scrap the idea and work with the flow of the mountain. I didn't want to scrap the whole painting so I had to come up with a new pose!
I'm actually glad I let go of the old idea since it was nice to do a different sea creature for a change! I'll most likely touch this up tomorrow morning since I do want to refine her tentacles a bit more so it flows a little better!
EDIT: Made changes to the painting and I love this version so much more!
I think the old version didn't really have a cohesive colour palette and the was foreground was too busy! It really helps to look at your painting with fresh eyes!
Thank you so much for your support! 😊

Thank you so much!! I'll do my best to work primarily on Procreate so I can show more timelapse videos! 😊😊
Looks AMAZING as always 😍😍 Would love to see more time lapse videos (real time or “speed up version”) of your drawings to see the process 🤩💗
