[Collection] XPS files - Nude males & females
🕑 Added 2022-06-19 09:34:01 +0000 UTC2 collections of XPS files that can be imported into VAM & posed, thanks to XPSLoader plugin.
I plan to package some more in the future:
- Clothed males & females
- Animals
- Monsters
Due to the plugin limitations, I cannot include a demo scene, but I'll post one soon!
How to use
Load XPS files using "XPSLoader" plugin by imakeboobies.
How to load the XPS files:
- Add an "Empty" atom to a scene
- Go to its "Plugins" tab and click on "Add Plugin" button and then the "Select File..." button
- Browse to "imakeboobies.XPSLoader" package and select the "XPSLoader.cslist" file
- Click on the "Open Custom UI..." button to open up the plugin interface
- Click on the "Select XNALara File" button
- Browse to this package and select a ".XPS" or ".MESH" file from any folder.
Here's a demo video by imakeboobies, on how to add into your scene and how to play with IK.
How to pose & change clothing:
Once a character is loaded, you can pose them and depending on the model you can change their clothing.
- Select the character you want to edit and go to its "Plugin" tab
- Click on the "Open Custom UI..." button of the XPSLoader plugin
- To pose: On the very bottom of the left column, select the part of the body you want to pose in the "Select a Bone" list. Then you can play with "Bone Rotation" sliders that will appear under this.
- To (un-)dress: Using the right column of the plugin UI, (un-)tick the item you want to display or hide. Note that removing some clothing could left some empty, transparent space on your character: you'll need to find the corresponding item to "fill it up" (adding skin).
Known issues:
There are some issues linked to the XPSLoader plugin:
- Some XPS characters cannot be posed: one has been left in the "Nude female" package because its default position is usable (its name include "Non posable"). If you edit any bone, this XPS file won't load the next time you load your scene and an error will be triggered.
- Models can be animated using triggers (edited bones are trigger-able), but the animations won't work the next time you load your scene.
- XPS files or packages including XPS files won't be referenced when packaging a scene using them (through XPSLoader plugin). So those packages won't appear as dependencies. Workaround: add any atom with editable textures into your scene and load any texture from the "XPS collection" package that you use. This will "force" the dependency.
