Initially i voted for 40k, but then i realized i'm stupid and i don't want spoilers for that one yet. So now i changed it to Pentiment, because i have no idea what that game is but the little summary made me chuckle and curious.

it was down to Arcanum, NWN and 40k Rogue Trader for me. went with NWN cuz thats the game that got me into CRPGS outside of Fallout 1&2
