π§ Devlog 19 - I Can't Tell You What I Made (But It's Cool!)
🕑 Added 2025-11-04 10:52:45 +0000 UTCNew secret content for 0.6
Well, this past week... I did nothing but TrueClash. I was supposedly going to work on the combat structure and think about how to present it, but I had a spontaneous idea and had to follow it.
Basically, we're at a show, right? It's an MMA match in a world where it rules the sports! So I had to, let's say, tap into that side of myself (it reminded me of when I was a DM in D&D, something typical of my storytelling xD).
I ended up spending a lot of time on this introduction, but I think it turned out interactive, optional (you don't have to do it, it's skippable), and demonstrates how the world doesn't stop for us (you'll understand what I mean when you get there). But above all, I think it turned out fun, and honestly, I think in terms of presentation, it's the best I've ever done, and now my fear is that the combat won't be able to match this level hahaha. But we'll see.
Now, am I going to show you anything about it? No! I don't want to ruin the surpriseβyou'll have to wait for the patch π
What else?
I don't have much more to show you... I was actually working on this all week long xD. But I still managed to do some other little things.
Update to the character presentation/updates
I've been working on a layout to present the upcoming chars or updates to existing ones. I managed to make one that I really liked, especially since the next saga is the beach and it had to be thematic ;)
You'll see this layout this week, as we're going to present Mafalda's update using it. And this reminds me of something else.
Shortening the devlogs
I love making devlogs, but these are going to be 'shorter' without actually being shorter. I'll continue to present updates in the same proportion, but they'll be in separate posts. Why? Because this not only makes the devlogs less heavy, but I also think it facilitates discussion of certain topics by separating them into different posts.
And with that said, the devlog ends here. Expect to receive Mafalda's sprite update in that format later this week, and Patch notes - v0.5
See you soon, Zak o/
