Character Naming for "In The Red Light Backrooms"
🕑 Added 2022-10-26 01:04:06 +0000 UTCJust a reminder that if you want put a name (yours, anyone's) on one of the characters in my upcoming short story, now is the time to put it forward.
I'm (finally!) on the home straight. There's just the last couple of pages to type up and then a solid day of editing. Once again it's far longer than I initially intended, clocking in at over 10,000 words.
The plan is to give myself a solid day of finishing up and editing tomorrow, then post sometime Thursday after I've given it a final editing sweep. I'll also submit to Literotica at the same time. It's too late for their contest, but I like to put a new story up there every Halloween if only to show I'm still alive.

Damien Cain
Of course Happy to be a part of the lore :D
Jimmy the Cannon
I believe it's called Serving the Earth mother or something like that?
Many-Eyed Hydra
Damien works. I've used an alt spelling for the surname, if that's okay.
Many-Eyed Hydra
Chris seems fine for the other protagonist.

Another for a H-space story. Or maybe one of the 7th collection stories I have planned. There is a loose theme to that of 'nice guys' that ain't nice.
Many-Eyed Hydra
I'm trying to remember which one that was. I understand the feeling though. Characters in my stories meet some weird ends. :D
Many-Eyed Hydra
Sadly, protagonists in this are nerdy geek types. I reckon that name would fit well for a H-space story though. Remind me again when I get one of those done.
Damien Cain
Damien Cain ;)

I wouldn't mind having mine lol. Although mine might of been used before it's a pretty comon Name Chris.

If the character is going to have a bad end and deserves it, then a variation of Brad Bourne would be my vote. Fantasy schadenfreude for someone who thought himself a nice guy but was not particularly nice to women by anyone's else measurement.
Jimmy the Cannon
You have already used my real name in a story, and it was, unfortunately, the coprophilia one 😂 I think I'll wait for a bit before proposing Jimmy as a name.

Oh yes! Ok, so I choose Peter Thanes, an ex Navy SEAL in good shape. That fine MEH?
