Update 1st Aug '21
🕑 Added 2021-08-01 22:49:53 +0000 UTCThis will be a bit of an odd update post. Normally it would be a 'see the notes for the last release, let's talk about plans for the new month instead' post. Except I didn't quite get the release out.
On the positive side, realising I was making a mistake and correcting it has had the desired effect. Chén is implemented and by the time I go to bed tonight, Osculia Suffocati will likely be well on the way to being implemented as well. More importantly, I was able to get a good chunk of Ygolia Campbell written over the weekend. This means I should be entering the new month at a run rather than a stutter.
HoHH v0.022 should be out maybe tomorrow, but probably Tuesday. That will essentially have the update details for last week, so I'll use this post to go over plans for August.
At the moment I have a fairly defined list of things todo to pick from.
QoL STUFF
- Superfast restart
The upcoming release will have a much-needed shortcut option through the Barman's introduction. I'd like to go a bit further and have an even faster restart option that drops the player at the first harlot selection and then skips through the Barman intro. The intros are nice, but the game has a roguelike element to it where the player is going to die a lot, so having an option to get right back into things is necessary.
- Elegant Woman bug fix
I wasn't able to get to this. It only applies in a special case (Sgriosar) and only in the post-room phase. The option to continue doesn't come up. I have an idea why this is and will get a fix in. It's easy to avoid, so shouldn't currently affect people's games unless they specifically look for it.
- Harlot difficulty
There are more harlots in the House now, so I'll start using the round ranges to push the nastier harlots back to only appearing from round 4 onwards. This should reduce the chances of players getting 3 impossible-to-survive killers in the 1st round and bouncing off the game.
- Charm
After it was suggested, I want to add an option for players to buy a charm of their choice from the Buxom Lolibaba at the cost of a mulligan token. This won't be in the final game, but will be useful for the early test versions where some harlots show up far earlier than they should. This should give players better options for experimenting with charms for these harlots.
REPEAT VISITS (aka Assphyxia)
I'm concentrating on the smotherbus faction at the moment. One of them is Assphyxia. She's very similar to Suffocatrix Mamilla except she uses her ass. What I need to do is alter how the repeat visits are handled. Going forward, they will be treated as additional scenarios, so I need to make a few code changes to the selection algorithm. This might be a little messy, so I need to do some thinking on how to handle it. Mamilla will likely be the test case for the changes.
SMOTHERBUSES
In progress:
Ygolia Campbell
(wrap 'n' facesit)
To come:
Assphyxia
Assphyxia's repeat visits
Assphyxia's Good End?
Mamilla + Assphyxia (mini-boss)
(unspecified mook scenario - likely a glossy black latex slime girl)
(Latex Arachne)(mini-boss)
(Queen)
This faction has pretty much come together. There is one slot outstanding (likely will be the latex slime girl), one slot I'll leave as a popularity vote revisit, and the Queen. The Queen will likely be some sort of high priestess of erotic asphyxiation.
I'll probably keep chipping away at this faction. Unless I get blocked, in which case:
THE DOCTORESS'S ARTIFICIAL BEINGS
I'm a little more advanced on the planning on this than I thought. I haven't checked the numbers, but I think I have most of the base scenarios plotted out and solid ideas for the two mini-bosses.
It's a big list. At the moment I don't know exactly which things I'll be doing from it. Ideally, I'd like to get 3 harlots implemented early in the month and then spend the rest building up a backlog of 1st drafts again. That seemed to work well when I was writing the succufairy scenarios and seems a good thing to aim for.
As always, many thanks for your patience and support.

Many-Eyed Hydra
She would be a tricky one as she is a late-appearing harlot and fairly committed to killing the player. That's the fun part of throwing it open to a poll, though, whoever wins will force me to think about how to make it work!
Gojira
Oh man, what I wouldn't give for a revisit scenario for Tete Khantu LOL. I can only hope people know what to do when it comes down to the poll 🥺🙏
