Update 18th Apr '21
🕑 Added 2021-04-18 23:10:42 +0000 UTCShort update this week. I could see I was a struggling at the start of the week and decided to take a break week rather than keep pushing and then burn out completely for a couple of months. I needed to get some other IRL stuff done and felt it was a good time to do it.
Fortunately, it wasn't a complete waste. The leech-tongue succubus scenario is still coming along. I've written one of her Bad Ends and will likely move onto the other pathway next week.
I'm going to revise expectations down to 2 (or more) harlots + The Barman this month (the Barman is at least already done and tested).
Sorry for the slowness. It's not a lack of ideas. Occasionally I have periods where my writing gets very slow and scratchy when I get too obsessed on trying to make the 1st drafts perfect. Then I remind myself what 1st drafts are for, break out of it and find high gear again.
I did think about switching to work on a short story, but when I did that last year it knocked me off course for much longer than intended, so I'll use it only as an emergency if I can't get the gears unlocked. I still want to get that public demo up on a website as that will be a branch point to determine whether to continue as a text-only game, or look to add graphics and other assets.
Thanks for the support. Sorry for a slow week this week. Hoping to have better news next week!
