Update 7th Mar '21
🕑 Added 2021-03-08 00:08:18 +0000 UTCA half-weekish update. I took a few days off at the end of the week to recharge the batteries. A weekend off effectively. Don't worry, I'll be right back at it on Monday.
The first half of the week I got tucked in to some of the items on the to-do list I posted in the last update.
They roughly break down as so:
Beginning of Game Intro.
The purpose of this part is to start the story and be a disguised 'character creation' (with a an option to skip if the players wants to start quickly with random attributes). The story part is typed up - it's mostly a streamlined version of what I wrote before with a few tweaks.
The Madam's Tour
On arriving, The Madam gives the player a brief tour of the bar area, stage, and harlot room area. The purpose of this section is to explain the game rules. This is a mixture of 1st draft and typed up. I'm uncertain on the 1st draft as my natural tendency is to keep it short and punchy. I think I might be wrong here. There will be a skip option, so I can put in a little bit of description to set the scene on the first time through. In this case taking a couple of days off to think about something is probably a good thing as otherwise I might butcher this out of a misplaced desire to shorten it down too much. The House is opulent and needs to be described as such!
NPC Madam revamp
I also started on tweaking her NPC sections to fit the same structure as the others. Her conversation options to unlock buying Mulligan Tokens are a little convoluted. It's mostly moving a few chunks of code.
Just starting the prep for ver0.017, basically. I'm hoping to get it done by the end of next week and then maybe spend the 2nd half of March on new harlots scenarios.
Thanks for the support and interest.
