(Tentative) Plans for February
🕑 Added 2021-02-03 16:39:06 +0000 UTCI should probably put "plans" in scare quotes. I want to avoid a similar situation to what happened last year where I said the next release would be the 'sexy snek' release, got stalled on writing a couple of the scenarios, but felt I had to bash my head against a wall and be unproductive because I'd said the next release would be the 'sexy snek' release. As a result, I'm going to keep the plans tentative. There are things that are close to the top of the 'things to do next' list, but it will be flexible and depend on what seems to be flowing at the time.
That said, here are the things near the top of the list:
CHARMS AND CHARM SELLER NPC
Charms are another thing the player can buy in the House. I planned them as another layer of obfuscation, mainly for the later, harder harlots. These succubi and monster girls have stronger mind-control effects and the player will need additional protection to avoid a Sexy Bad End. I also thought up some other cool effects they could have, such as altering stats or letting the player see the more monstrous girls as they really are during presentation.
As with the harlots, they will be ongoing. I'll put out a range at first and then add more later as I come up with them (likely paired with a harlot/group of harlots - eg a noseplug effect to negate Alraune harlots).
Charms need a Charm Seller and she will likely be the next NPC added. She should be more straightforward than the other NPCs in that selling charms is her only function. However, the charms will each require text/implementation, although for most of them the implementation changes are very straightforward.
One charm will be nasty for me to implement. The one that allows the player to see monster girls as they really are will require a fair bit of new description text and checks for a lot of the existing harlots. I think the effect will be worth the work, but I might add that later as part of its own release.
NEW HARLOTS - SLUG GIRL AND ASPHYA
These are close to definites for whatever the next release is. Their 1st draft is already written and having missed out on two previous polls they now get added automatically to the next group of harlots.
NEW HARLOT - RUBBER BALL SYNTHETIC GIRL
This is one of The Doctoress's creations. She might get bumped past the poll process because I'm already having to type her up to remind myself of what I had planned for the scenario, and if she's typed up, I might as well release her. This is tentative. This scenario has been sitting around for a while. If I think I'm stalled on her, I might put her aside and move onto something else to keep things moving.
SOME NEW HARLOTS CHOSEN BY POLL
This is in the very tentative area. I'm estimating I'll have 3 new harlots + new NPC in the next release and the 3 harlot slots are already taken. More likely is I'll work on writing enough new 1st draft harlots and give patrons a choice for March's release.
When I first thought about writing this, it was very tentative as I wasn't sure whether I'd be concentrating on writing new harlots or the Charm Seller. However, since the version 0.015 release and the regular Sunday update I've had a fairly productive week. Some charms have already been implemented and tested. I've written the Charm Seller's passages and typed up some of them. At this point I think February's release (ver 0.016) will likely be NPC Charm Seller (The Buxom Lolibaba) + 3 Harlots (slug girl, Asphya, then either rubber ball girl or 1-2 selected from a poll of what I have available).
