November '21 Plans
🕑 Added 2021-11-06 12:32:23 +0000 UTCPost is a little later than midweek, as the public HoHH website update grabbed that slot.
November plans are a little open-ended at the moment. The main priority for the "House of Hellish Harlots" project at the moment is to pump up the harlot numbers and start filling out the factions.
As for the factions, the Sensuality one still needs to resolve the conflict between Calliophi's "use our gifts for good" and the others being perfectly fine with killing the player with pleasure if it suits them. I'm getting closer on that and working on a higher-round harlot that twists the philosophy into something that makes sense for both the 'nice' ones and killers.
A 4th faction is coming together as the House succubus faction. These are the succubi that are closely aligned with The Madam (either by choice or coercion) and work other roles within the House. I've already added Misty. If any of the waitresses get a scene, they will be part of this faction. It also includes Vete Piege, Boobella, Pix, Alsharajea, and maybe Panta. While I knew they would have a theme of "generic succubus hooker", I wasn't sure of what their shared game mechanic would be, but looking at some of the others and after implementing Misty, I've got a nice idea for what that will be.
That's a slight bit of rambling, though, so back to plans.
As I said, the plans are a little open-ended.
One option is to blast through a lot of short scenarios like Misty. Harlot production has been a little slow, so I could do with just blasting through a lot of the basic scenarios to get the numbers up. These are the harlots where I have the idea for a scene, but not the game mechanics. Rather than come up with complex scenarios like the Ygolia bondage game, I might assign them a single condition (stat/disposition/gift/charm check) to determine whether the scenario Bad Ends or not. Because I have a better idea of how to use repeat scenarios, I can always add polls later to give harlots that prove popular an additional extended scene.
Another option is to get the various half-finished scenarios (Assphyxia, big Boobfairy, Mindflayer girl, dancing lamia) finished. I might cycle through them to see if they're still 'stuck' or I can get them to 'click'.
The other thing that needs doing is an example mini-boss or two. That will likely be either adapting Volumpula's old CYOA scenario or letting Temptacia loose on the player (she will give them a thorough working over!).
At the moment, even though I need to work on mini-boss harlots as proof-of-concept, I'm leaning towards the 'blast out a lot of short harlot scenarios' option (which would also include some of the half-finished harlots). Ideally, I'd like to get back to the situation I had at the start of the year. Polls on which harlot to type up/implement next are fun and I'd like to get a bit of interactivity back on the patreon.
So, what I'm thinking of doing is spending the first half and a bit of the month trying to rattle off as many 1st drafts as I can (similar to how the succufairies were written at the start of the year). This is tentative at the moment. If, for example, an idea for a more complex mini-boss scenario 'clicks', I'll want to get that written while it's hot.

Probably slightly more by fetish and then each faction having preferences on appearance (eg, the smother faction liking tight latex). Game mechanics also come into it as well. I want each faction to have a shared mechanics theme (eg player needs to have high Constitution to hold their breath long enough for the smotherbuses and then pick up the anti-smother charm for the later harlots).

Are you grouping harlots more by fetish or by physical appearance as you add factions? Would love to hear your process for inventing new girls.

I might see if I can add some of the alraune ideas. One of the problems is that they don't really have a faction to fit into at the moment, but I have made some allowances for harlots like that.

I might see if I can port the busty milk spreader over from H-space. She fits the pattern of "have the right charm or die!"

I think she'll be the first to write. If I don't get to write her this month, I at least want to plan her scenario out.

That's the plan - keep adding harlots so I can push the round count up.

I think I mentioned before that it felt funny how there weren't many bugs or plants. Do you think some of the rapid drafts planned could add some of those? I'd say, if you feel inspired that is, that it could be beneficial as it would add something a bit different to the game in its current state.

I think a Temptacia mini-boss fight would be cool.

What about more rounds?
