Plans for next "House of Hellish Harlots" release

After that I had a brief pause to get my head back together and also do mundane necessities such as file my taxes for the year. Now I'm back working on the next chunk of the game. This is what I want to do for the next release:
Bug Fixes.
Some minor errors in the last release need to be fixed. So far that's a mix-up with gift ids with Anna Boa and some oddities in coin and action counts with The Elegant Woman. If you've noticed any others, please list them below and I'll get on them.
Minor Refactoring.
I'm used to programming in other languages, so I've been passing a reference to current harlot between passages. However, because of how Twine works, I suspect this creates a copy of that harlot for every passage. Not a problem now, but could be later, so I'll likely be changing this to use a lookup id number instead.
And now the content additions.
NPC - The Portly Gentleman.
You might have noticed that lots of things - information, drinking with harlots - require money. This is where the Portly Gentleman comes in. He will be your source of income while in the House.
This was also the final piece of the puzzle while I was brainstorming the initial idea. I knew the player would need money to buy things, but I was struggling to think of how they'd get additional money once the game started. I was thinking of it as a scoring system, with the player getting more money for better performance in the room, but it didn't make sense for the harlot to give the player the money. The House is a brothel. The punters pay the girls, not the other way around! It would have been slightly immersion breaking.
Then I had the idea for NPC_Money. This is another person trapped in the House's game. He is interested in paying for information on the harlots so he can avoid them killing him should he be summoned to make a choice himself. This felt like a perfect way to synchronise gameplay and story.
The Portly Gentleman will 'score' players on their performance and pay out coins depending on the score. He may do other things as well, but for now I'll be concentrating on adding his base functionality.
I've already written most of his dialogue.
New Harlots
Along with the new NPC, I also want to add maybe 6 or 7 new harlots. I have 5 already planned out, with 2 currently at the writing stage. I'll start talking about them more as they get closer to completion.
'Dummy' Harlots
I was going to replace these as I created new scenarios, but I might actually put more back in for the next release. This is because of how the selection algorithm works. Currently, the demo might last anywhere from 1 to 3 rounds depending on the girls picked. I'll see if I can bump that up to 4 or 5 rounds, so the game feels more like a game rather than demos of the individual scenarios.

I'm treating the Twine version as a sort of prototype/final text game. The first big milestone I'm looking at is getting all the NPCs in place and enough harlots done for a player to be able to play maybe half the number of rounds. Once I'm at that point, I'll put that version up on its own website and try to gauge what the overall interest is. If it looks really viable, I'll start looking to commission artists to bring the harlots to sexy life. I want a sexy vamp in there, but still not quite sure on her scene. The problem with typical vamps is they tend to get supplanted by succubi the more unashamedly sexy the work is (vamp seduction ends up in throat-biting because horror movies can't go porn. Porn games can, so succubi, which follow the seduction with sex, tend to make the sexy vamp a little unnecessary.)

There are 3 NPCs still to come: A doctor/nurse/cow girl - she sells drinks to replenish sperm (maybe also cure negative statuses). Mad witch doctor - she sells potions that temporarily alter stats (so low str characters can survive harlots like Anna Boa). Charm seller - these are more permanent trinkets with hidden abilities. Some are necessary to survive the later harlots.

Love the writing for this game so far, the demos have been enjoyable. Two questions what are your long term goals concerning adding some images of the harlots to the game? Is that something you are considering currently. Also if i may suggest, it would be awesome to see a harlot that's a vampire, wouldn't mind getting bad ended there, dunno if you already have plans for such one. Take care.
So far, do you have plans for what else the player could do with money? One option would be to buy items: potions that restore sperm or life energy. Or additional Mulligan Tokens. In addition, some of the gifts for the harlots could cost money.

It wouldn't be the portly gentleman, but I was thinking of bringing back the characters that picked the player up after his car broke down. Helping them survive could then represent an additional goal or side quests. I want to get the base game set up first though.
Regarding the Portly Gentleman: It would be great if the player could watch this man two or three times (through the keyhole) while having sex with certain harlots. That would extend the game to an optional voyeurism level. And regardless of whether the player is watching him, the given clues about those harlots could decide on a good or bad outcome for the Portly Gentleman. So the player could lose his source of income - but happily watch the end of another man.
After some research on Patreon and adult content creators, I have to admit unfortunately that my previous evaluation of the matter was wrong because of lack of information.

I didn’t mention politics at all. The sexual content alone will be enough to get him banned eventually. You just have to look at the reactions of payment processors to pornhub to see which way the censorship winds are blowing. I am a subscriber of TheMaestroNoob who makes erotic artwork for video game and warhammer characters through patreon. He has begun to self censor his updates to avoid the ban hammer. Subscribe star meanwhile has an 18+ specific section.

Just Patreon at the moment. I opened a Subscribestar as a backup in case Patreon goes authoritarian, but I'm not using it for now. I might open it up alongside Patreon if there's enough demand. (I'm aware of Patreon's flaws when it comes to free speech.)
