House of Hellish Harlots - update 3rd May '20
🕑 Added 2020-05-03 20:55:14 +0000 UTCWe're back to updates on a Sunday. That's a good sign and hopefully will continue to be the main update day.
Nurse NPC - or rather Nurse Honey, as the cat is out of the bag by now - has been released as the ver0.011 release. This is just her NPC functions. I will be adding a nice scene for her at a later date.
Also, something I forgot to mention with that release. The option to see her just showing up on the list is a temporary measure. When I implement the proper introduction and/or The Barman, that option will show up in a more natural way (same as how the player first seeks out The Elegant Woman).
Unfortunately, that release was a bit lacking on the sexy stuff. Something I hope to rectify in the next week or so. Both Va-kyuuma and Massage Lamia are fully typed up. I should have them implemented in the next few days.
While finishing up Massage Lamia, I was able to plot out her sister, Dancing Lamia. As with Mamilla, I think this is another area where I can add little subplots that play out through repeated visits. It might require a tweak to the selection algorithm to improve the chances of relevant harlots showing up again, but it's something worth exploring. She'll likely be added to the gift update release following the next one.
The 3rd harlot will likely be a switch. I had an idea for a big-boobed slime girl and as writing that scenario appears to be currently motoring along, I thought I'd run with it. She was inspired by the regular slime girls in 62studio's games (Lust Grimm and others). She also inflicts a new ailment.
This will push Mindflayer harlot back to the following release. The poor girl has been on the backburner so long I need to go through my notes to remind myself what happens when she's not doing the... ewww... icky stuff.
The other thing I've heard is that the game starts to get laggy after a while. I have an idea what that might be and will look into it. (As well as the other issues people have raised - keep reminding me so I don't forget!)
Thanks for your continued support and interest.

Ah. a wise and clever plan amigo :-)

I like the "bondage" monster girls, so I suspect lamias, slime girls, arachnes and scyllas will be slightly over-represented. That's why I want to throw things out to patron suggestions at some point - to remind me of the monster girls I've left off. :)

Wow. We sure are clocking up the lamias now. They will outnumber the succubi at this rate. Either way, Fanstastic work on the game so far. Really looking forward to seeing both vak'yuuma and the mind flayer girl in action. I hope the muses come give you another top up soon. May we always be lucky enough to have you share your creative talents with us :-)

Ailments are pretty limited at the moment. The few that are in there are mainly just test cases. The main thing I want implemented is the forced choice element. I'll try to be sparing with it - railroading a player into a harlot choice that is also fatal will get annoying if it happens too often. I think it might be a useful mechanic for guiding players down different paths, but that needs a lot more harlots implemented!

I've been looking forward to the massage Lamia - your massage based stories are universally superb I'm doubly curious now that she's going to have a sister and subplots - I think anything that gives the harlots a sense of changing between visits is a good effort/reward investment provided the mechanics don't suffer the complexity explosion you are wisely wary of On another note - without giving anything away too easily, is there currently any effects to be seen of having the ailment you get from the harlot that gives the one ailment rather than two?
