Poltergeist is one of the most iconic classic horror movies that stands the test of time, it's still almost perfect after all these years (there are a couple of FX that maybe didn't age so well, it was the 80s lol). It's just a basically perfect horror movie, it's scary but also funny and you care about the characters. Btw the Poltergeist house still exists, suburb of LA, Simi Valley, so many houses from Horror movies are in southern California it's crazy, Pasadena, Whittier, Thousand Oaks, Silverlake.
