Great reaction as usual. Speaking as someone that lived through that time, the Cold War was really intense when this movie came out and the hatred between the 2 countries was at an all time high. Believe it or not, many say that this movie helped bring the Soviet Union down. It was a very powerful movie at the time. Can't wait to watch your upcoming reactions and I know you would love 'Winter's Tale'...♥️♥️♥️

I still say you gals should react to Cinderella Man with Russel Crow. it is a boxing movie based on a true story. It is much more realistic then any Rocky movie, and covers an important part of U.S. history, the Great Depression. It is not just a boxing movie but a drama about fighting for the survival of your family. There for I would say it is even a love story, not just between husband and wife, but mother, father, and children. Or just simply put love within the family. The history is very well portrayed and very accurate to the real story except for on part of it and I am sure everyone will fill you in on it.

Ellie said America and Russia were really competitive during that time. It was worse than that. America and Russia were one bad day away from nuclear war. Pretty crazy times.

Unpopular opinion...this is lower on my list of favorite Rocky movies. I feel like it is a little too propagandistic. Generally I think overt political messaging subtracts from a movie. But hey, it's still entertaining. You still have Rocky 5 left. It's not good. But you have to watch it to get to the LAST Rocky movie: Rocky Balboa. It is quite good.

Raging Bull (1980) makes Rocky (1976) look like a cucumber sandwich. Rocky 4 is the craziest in the series.

There is absolutely Rocky V, a low point for Rocky, but it's necessary for one continuing the story.

And the thing about this movie the final fight the punches were real bc Stallone wanted it to be real so he told Dolph lundgren (Ivan drago) told him to punch for real afterwords stallon suffered a concussion
