Tbh I kind of want one of the avatar to tell him and I surprised they haven't yet as it's effecting his bending as it's largely spiritual so the doubt he has in himself and the lack of a real identity from being a "motherless bastard" def effects his bending and at this point he's old enough to keep it a secret.

It’d probably be smarter by Ned if he lied and told Jon that Ashara is his mother. In case she’s actually dead, that is. Either way, Jon will soon stumble upon the truth, either with help from the Avatars, Melisandre or Oberyn.

With Jon having purple eyes in this story, Asmara being his mother is honestly a logical deduction, even if it's wrong. Given how Ned reacted to Cat asking about Ashara in cannon I have a bad feeling about how he's going to react when Jon asks here. Or will ge lie to appease Jon and protect his truth birth status?
