After Twin Peaks ended, two new series came up to help scratch that itch. One was The X-Files, which covered the supernatural crime aspect and the other was Northern Exposure, which focused on a small town in Alaska full of quirky characters. Northern Exposure is good, but The X-Files is one of the best TV series ever. The Chosen - series chronicling Jesus Christ and his apostles during the years of his ministry Fallout - dark, graphic, satirical and humorous series set in a post-apocalyptic America; based on the video game series 24 - action-thriller series where each season takes place within a single day and the events unfold in realtime Black Mirror - sci-fi anthology series, like a modern Twilight Zone Station Eleven - single-season post-apocalyptic series, with an intimate story told in a nonlinear format with a very unique indie style
