As a Polish person I can confirm I've never met or heard of a Piznarski before this show lol The closest I could find in Polish Academy of Sciences' etymology index is Pyznar (very rare, less than 400 ppl in Poland having that last name.) I wouldn't be surprised if it was an anglicised version of an actual name filtered through several generations. And because I've been asked about it once and I find it fascinating the -ski ending in Polish is pretty much the equivalent of German "von" or French "de" in names. It used to signify nobility, landownership - literally "of xyz place". That was between 13th and 16th century. In 17th century the peasants started to co-opt it so the aristocracy decided to go for weirder forms like nicknames because gods forbid some poor soul working your field shares a similar linguistic structure of a family name lol BTW your name (Zima) means winter in Polish :)

Polish name generally but like my stepdads great great grandparents it was probably spelled different and got changed. When they changed the family name in my stepdads Polish relatives they changed it to Parsnick and the family doesn't know what it was before that anymore.

Piznarsky is a rare name, don't you think? At least I've never heard of the name Piznarsky outside of the Veronica Mars show. And yet the director of two episodes of season one of Veronica Mars has the name (Mark) Piznarsky too! Coincidence???!!!

My understanding of why the girl faked the story of being assaulted was because the guys posted that "Maybe the blonde in the middle" indicating her. And then the dean didn't do anything about them doing so, and then she claimed she was assaulted, and tried to sue the school for the dean not doing anything.
