Well, I should have signed back up to your Patreon as soon as I learned you were watching Twin Peaks, but, for whatever reason, I didn't until now. Hopefully I can make up for lost time. It's nice to be watching you react again!

1/3 soap opera, 1/3 Murder Mystery, and 1/3 Magical Realism. Unfortunately for the second season, the Network derailed some of this winning formula. Fortunately, it was brought back in 2017 with all engines roaring.

I have never seen anybody react to this show, Thank You. This is a fond memory from my collage days friends gathering in my dorm, talking about it after.

Omenrose

Yay!

Patrick Armbruster

ABC was a soap opera network back then? I didn't know that.

Oh I see that you have questions, well so do the rest of us 34 years later :)

Moon Logic

Oh, no! You've really opened Pandora's box and fallen down the rabbit hole now! Fire walk with me! And as a Norwegian, I love some representation!

OMG so excited for this! It was such a cultural phenomenon, the whole world wanted to know "who killed Laura Palmer". Such a perfect timing as well - this year we're celebrating 100th anniversary of surrealism which along with abstract is a David Lynch staple.

Amazing show. The second season goes off the rails a little bit but the first season is incredible. It’s hard to overstate how big “who killed Laura Palmer” was when this show was airing in the early 90s. I was like 10 years old at the time and didn’t even watch the show and I even knew about it.

I love this show, I'm so excited for you! A little background: the plethora of affairs has to do with this airing on a soap opera network. Those elements can definitely be ridiculous, but they are a core part of what makes Twin Peaks so captivating and unique, not to mention what allowed the show to exist in the first place. Dramas with overarching narratives weren't a thing in 1990, with the exception of soap operas. This show is foundational in making TV what it is today, it was a trailblazer. Also coming to this show not really knowing David Lynch is delightful.

Kirstie Brote

Oh, the DRAMA. That camera work. I'd recommend some of Lynch's movies, Blue Velvet being my personal favorite. I want to rummage around in that man's brain!

Superplin

This is one of the great episodes in television history. So excited to watch!

!!!

OMG. I'm so down for this. I originally watched it on a tiny black and white TV in my first dorm room in the fall of 1990!!! Everyone was obsessed with it.
