What Should I Watch After Buffy? (yep, finally time for the poll)

Xena! The only show on the list that aired before buffy. And the only one that comes close in my opinion. It's early - mid 90s... so there's definitely a bit of a barrier there. But I really think xena was a huge stepping stone for shows like buffy. And it has my favourite character development out of any show of all time. Would love to see you react. It would be a struggle at first... I can't deny that. But once you're into it.. it's like nothing else. I reckon you'd love it

Fleabag and EotFW are easily some of the best tv shows I've seen in a while. I often revisit Fleabag especially.

How about something like 'Fleabag' or "End of the Fucking World"? I think a short series with female lead would be the way to go. On this list, Dollhouse or Veronica Mars would be the ones I'd choose.

I’m this close to campaigning openly in the comments, because VM is criminally under-covered in the reaction space. I think she should wait in firefly until the end of Angel, bc VM is such a better successor to Buddy. I love Firefly, but I just think the connective tissue between Buffy and VM is SO strong, whilst being entirely it’s own thing.

I think Alley would enjoy The Good Place, as she does like analysing characters and character growth. A thought for a future selection maybe?

Dollhouse had such a brilliant conception, and if it weren’t cancelled & as a result shoved into 2 seasons, I believe it would’ve been even greater. It’s still a show to watch!

Agents of Shield is such an underdog here, it's a phenomenal show.

as a word of note, if/when you get to watch Charmed, I would advise getting ahold of the dvds, since the music was changed with streaming and digital copies

Agents Of Shield probably wont win but it looks like most of the shows on the poll are either short or a reasonable length so hopefully it can get on the next poll
