But dang, I really jinxed myself in the beginning by saying exactly what this episode was about lmao.. poor Dawn :'( I feel horrible for all of the scoobies.. but dang, another great/powerful episode to show the events for after Joyce's death.

I'm not sure if someone else mentioned this but the scene with Giles is a direct reference to Band Candy, it was the music Giles and Joyce were listening to when Buffy found them at his apartment.

Actually she just wanted to leave for awhile to spend time with her family, I believe in Europe. He told her she just had to come back by * because he was going to kill her.

Now that these episodes are done, I can let you know that Kristine Sutherland was going to leave the show after season 3. Joss begged her to stick around, telling her "you can't leave yet, I'm going to kill you off in season 5". She relented, with a very limited schedule, which is why she had so little screen time in season4.
